Tim Wendelboe — Restaurant in Oslo

A well-known destination for specialty coffee enthusiasts! When I visited, the crowd confirmed its reputation. The shop was packed, with barely any space to stand inside. I took my order to go and ended up enjoying both drinks just outside the café.

Pour-Over – Balanced, Clean, and Highly Controlled Even in a takeaway format, the pour-over demonstrated excellent clarity and balance. The coffee was clean with a noticeable acidity,bright but not sharp. It had a subtle fruit character and a light floral note, all delivered with precision. The body was smooth and light, and the finish was crisp without any lingering bitterness.

From my personal view, it's a clear expression of high-quality coffee and proper technique.

Cappuccino – Unexpectedly Creamy and Comforting While I expected the pour-over to impress, the cappuccino surprised me. Wendelboe’s light-roast espresso, when combined with milk, produced a cup that was soft, creamy, and far more comforting than anticipated. The milk was expertly steamed, silky microfoam with no separation.

Verdict: Worth the wait and the crowd. If you care about coffee done right, this is a must-visit in Oslo. I will definitely go back during my next...

Now that I’ve settled back in after traveling to Norway, I wanted to take a moment to say what a true pleasure it was to join the Tim Wendelboe coffee tasting and roasting tour on July 15th.

Maren was our guide for the day, and what an absolute gem she is. From start to finish, she was fantastic...knowledgeable, warm, and deeply engaging. Her ability to share the craft and story behind your work felt like a perfect expression of your brand. The pace and format of the experience were spot on...relaxed yet with insight. We never felt rushed, and each moment felt thoughtfully curated.

I left not only with a few extra bags of delicious coffee but also with a deeper appreciation for why I’m such a proud subscriber, and why I am always excited to spread the word that Tim and the team are setting a standard in artisanal quality and globally conscious entrepreneurship.

Top of the world coffee near the top of the world! As a coffee roaster I heard that that Oslo has a reputation for extremely light roasts that are amazing. Indeed this is what I found here. I had the best cup of coffee I have ever had in my life! My visit here inspired me to do more tinkering with my roasting methods once I got back home and I am definitely roasting a bit more lightly now. It is definitely a place you must visit if you are a coffee nerd. If you are not, you may become one. If you are used to roasts in America or Southern Europe, you may think that you wouldn’t like a roast this light. You should definitely try Tim Wendelboe’s. The brew is very nuanced and flavorful. The baristas are also very knowledgeable and friendly. I tried other local light roasts, though I did not find them to be quite as good as Tim’s. Not much space to sit, though if I had to I would stand and drink here! I cannot wait go...
