Xin Chao is an outstanding Vietnamese restaurant in Oslo that provides an authentic dining experience. On a recent Saturday, I had the pleasure of starting my meal with fresh spring rolls, which were beautifully presented and delicious. The rolls were filled with fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs, and shrimp, which was perfectly complemented by the dipping sauce that came with them.
For the main course, I ordered Bánh hòi tôm sấy khô thịt heo, a traditional Vietnamese dish that features delicate rice vermicelli noodles, dried shrimp, and pork. The flavors of this dish were amazing, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory that tantalized my taste buds. The dish was also beautifully presented, with vibrant colors and textures that made it a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
The experience was so good that I decided to go back to Xin Chao with some friends on Tuesday of the same week. This time, we ordered the Bun Bo Xao Cha Gio, a classic Vietnamese dish featuring stir-fried beef with vegetables and crispy spring rolls. The dish was served with a side of fresh herbs and lettuce leaves, which we used to wrap the beef and vegetables, creating a refreshing and satisfying meal.
The service at Xin Chao was impeccable on both occasions, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also fantastic, with a warm and inviting ambiance that enhanced our dining experience. Overall, dining at Xin Chao was an excellent experience, and I look forward to returning soon to try more of their delicious Vietnamese cuisine.
I will go back...ah don't forget to...

Now the reason why I give them only two stars food very slow we ordered 5 different dishes, food come two different times, first round we waited for 40 mins, and come the rest after we waited 1 hour. the food tasted less, except the sushi and spring roll was good, all the sauces tasted like it’s come directly from the bottle. the fries shrimp two small pieces cost 109 kr. I think it’s not very reasonable price for this one. they forgot to give me fresh vegetables on the side of Pho, and I noticed that by saw that from other tables cuz I don’t get the same thing. Service, the waitress are really nice yes but he the only one person that have to handle all the table in the restaurant and that moment was full , our drinks was empty for half hour no body come and ask if we want another drinks, the food come not the same time. have problems with paying with cards, have to...
Read moreMe and my family came here without much expectations, but we saw most of the tables are full inside so we decided to eat here. We got the table right away, the interior is really cosy and the staff is really friendly. The chefs are Vietnamese so I really hope the foods are good. We ordered a few dishes recommended by the staff. We tried the fried chicken spring rolls which is great and also another appetizer as the picture below which is also amazing! Then ordered two bun cha hanoi and two bun bo hue (spicy pho), the food came and we really love it. The bun cha hanoi reminded me of the bun cha I ate in Hanoi before, it tastes very authentic! The grilled pork are also very delicious. Highly recommend to try this restaurant if you’re looking for a Vietnamese food.
Thank you again for the amazing...
