Edit. Visit number 2. I was celebrating my birthday and we had a reservation. Our table was supposed to be ours until 20:00. But apparently they were overbooked and a tall waiter with curly long hair came to us at 19:30 and said that new people arrived and they are waiting for a table, waiter asked if we will leave soon and offered us to move to the bar near entrance. What?? Are you serious? If you booked more tables than you can offer - that’s rude to ask current customers to leave. Especially on their birthday. Waiter saw us being surprised and frustrated and removed one dessert from our check. It didn’t matter much to us, cause we wanted to enjoy our tea and finish a birthday dinner calmly with no rush. Bad customer service 👎👎👎
Visit number 1. It is cozy inside. Very good and friendly service. The starter wasn’t so good, summer rolls didn’t have much flavor, we didn’t like them and wouldn’t order again.
The dish “Taste of Sai Gó” is an absolute bomb, I cant wait to come back and enjoy it again. Fantastic grill flavor pork, tender meat, delicious fish sauce, rice noodles, fresh greens and mint, peanuts, all ingredients go so well all together, it is a must try!
Pho soup was quite different from the ones we tried before (in different restaurants). May be it’s a recipe from another region… there were sausages in the soup (Instead of classic just beef broth), the flavor was not so good. Cause I am used to a classic Pho recipe. I wouldn’t order this soup here.
Oolong tea was tasty. We didn’t have any space left for dessert.
I would totally come back and try...
Read moreAn Nam opened in earlier this year and we finally got to stop by to try their regular menu. I was very happy to see that An Nam was packed – even on a Thursday night. The venue is still the same with some bright neon signs here and there, some wall paintings with streets scenes from Vietnam and tables in various sizes. I started out with grilled beef in aromatic betel leaves that were good and in perfect bite size pieces. I also shared the grilled pork summer rolls and I also enjoyed this – I prefer these rice paper rolls over the deep-fried spring rolls as it feels lighter. and fresher with the various herbs. My main dish was sizzling pot fish that I found excellent. The fish came sizzling hot in a spicy and rich broth and was served with some rice on the side. Note that the fish is not a filet, so you have to be prepared to dig out a few bones. It was also great to see that you could get various Asian beers like Bia Saigon Export (Vietnam), Chang (Thailand) and Red Horse (Philippines) – but where is the 333? 😉 Thanks An Nam for good food and a...
Read moreTo summarize my experience it was amazing and delicious. From the food it was very delicious and a lot of amount of portion. I actually did not finish it but it was very delicious. I tried they're Vietnamese special and vietnames hot coffee but it's not on the menu. Next time I will try the iced coffee.
Ambience is OK, I just find the music a little bit boring.
Service is great they are all nice and polite. For the lady who serves my food she is very accommodating and attentive even it's not on the menu she tried to ask the bartender to make the drink for me. For the guy who makes my hot vietnamese coffee even though it's not on the menu thank you it was a good serving.
Just little flaws for the guy who took my order he was very accomodating but I can smell the cigarette when he was talking to me, may be I'm just sensitive but he is a great guy still as I'm about to live he still greets me and gave me tooth pick that I needed. I hope you don't feel bad but see this as a room of...
