Delicatessen Stavanger — Restaurant in Stavanger

Went there on a busy hot Friday evening with my friend. Had high expectation on this new tapas restaurant in Stavanger. Turned out very disappointing experience.

We ordered 6 different types of tapas to try. Only 1 is good, the shrimp. Scallop is cold and no any flavor when it's served, i told a waiter immediately, didn't get any help or even offer us a freshly made one. And tiny sandwiches toast with ham and cheese are also quite cold not fresh, and i pay 140kr for 4 tiny pieces cold toast, such an unpleasant dish. Padro chilly is overcooked. Sausage is overcooked that is too hard to bite or chew. The whole time no any waiters come to check our table, no response or explaination when i complain about the food. They made mistake on our bill too, they added something that we never ordered. So double check your bill.

One waitress in the restaurant has very long painted nails, a cook with big long curly hair without any cover. They or the management definitely don't care about hygiene.

This is a dine-in Spanish Tapas style restaurant with seating for over 20 people. Tapas is a style where you order a bunch of appetizers. For example, for one person, the waiter had recommended to order three dishes. The atmosphere is great for a formal environment.

I got the shrimp, potatoes, and fish. Everything was delicious and have strong flavours. The fish and shrimp both felt fresh and were cooked well. I really the potatoes, the were crispy on the outside and had a soft center. Each dish felt like it was made with care. I was satisfied and full at the end of the meal.

We were here on the amex dinner program and the service was really good, the server gave us a comprehensive review over the red wines that fit with the food which was tapas. Food was amazing except the shrimp and the meatballs, the shrimp was alright but quite a lack of taste and the meatballs had a weird consistency but the the taste was alright. Regardless ill give it give 5 stars because the rest of the food was amazing, potatoes were perfect and the wings were perfection, everything else was spot on.
