Very disappointing, have travelled the world and this was overall very poor service and from from the start to finish.
This is supposed to be a restaurant, however they want customer to pay before serving food? Even takeaway don’t ask to be paid in advance.
They do this as it puts them at an advantage point when they provide terrible service and scam their customers. If some one raises a complaint they mind the complain and take it rudely. And don’t do anything just say well sort it next time and walk off and management tell the waiters to try and get the people out and waiters start removing plates and etc constantly to annoy the customer and indirectly force them to leave.
Have ordered their large Handi, multiple times, they say it’s roughly a 1kg worth of meat, it costs around 900kr however all it ever has is big chunks of fat and bones (and there is hardly any meat on the bones either). Every time we order we tell them you said you’ll sort it out next time so please make sure it doesn’t have a lot of fat. They just say don’t worry we have clean meat no fat, and exactly same issue, and raising a complaint exactly the same treatment.
Lamb leg costs around 135kr for kg, boneless lamb would costs around 160kr or maximum 200kr for a kg for general public, they must get it cheaper buying in bulk.
Even if they put a 0.5kg if actual meat in thetr They are making a profit of over 750kr. And with this terrible service and treatment? I would seriously advice you to avoid this place, they where one of the early starters in the area for Indian/Pakistani food and have got a restaurant in a good area and it has become popular, as it’s in a tourist area, but instead of making improvements they are in a very excited phase where they don’t understand what to do how to deal with customers. It has all gone over their heads and not knowing how to operate a restaurant (in the sense of customer service) they focus on only thing they understand which is getting as much money in as possible, they are just looking at money and no customer service or quality.
There are many courses and options out there to learn customer service and how to run business, I would strongly advice you to please go out and educate your self so you can improve the customer service and in the long term you will have repeated customers which will be a lot better for you...
Read moreI have been visiting and ordering food from this place a lot! Because of my Asian taste buds. The food is average but the guy over phone who takes oder is super rude. My husband ordered it from foodra app, the guy without informing us delayed it for two hours. On asking him over phone he displayed some another level of arrogance to me and my husband. He talked to us in manner that delays are entitled to him and he will deliver whenever he wishes to. He was unable to cancel the Oder and threaten us that he will report to us foodra. I don’t know why. Least he could do was just being sorry for the delay and that’s it. That was a very genuine expectation from a restaurant from any client. Poor show !
Replying to the owner- on 4/01/2024
Well! This intention “ the customer is always right “never existed while having a conversation with me or my husband. You never informed that you are busy and delaying it so, (we would have totally understood it, being 1st January)you were adamant that you are delaying it because you can! This is how you value your customer? And being a restaurant owner in Norway is rewarding but not an absolute working class. But there was arrogance I feel obligated to share with others and your reply certainly confirms my feelings. Ps- We never asked for refund or the food as you hung up...
Read moreThis place will be familiar to locals who attend Gladmat - the Stavanger food festival. Their stalls are very popular, and their tikkas and naan breads go quickly. We turned up looking for lunch on a Sunday (not always easy in Stavanger!) and they were just getting ready to open at 14:00. They were happy to seat us and start looking at the menus. Service was really good overall and they are willing to guide people on spice levels if you're not familiar. With so many nice things on the menu it's difficult not to overdo it. I don't think they serve alcohol, but things like mango lassi are so nice you wouldn't miss it. We had chicken pakora and samosa as starters. The samosa is served "smashed" these days and comes with a mild chickpea curry over and salad on the side. Main courses beautifully presented in a karai with rice and salad dishes. Special mention for the Peshwari naan, but we really enjoyed everything. The place itself feels very clean and the decor is elegant. Lots of room upstairs, which I imagine can be booked...
