Went here for lunch on a weekday, we were seated within a few minutes, they weren't busy when we arrived but it filled up soon after! This is a fairly new location, smaller but it is nice to have another KBBQ location in the area. The lunch price was $26 per person, not bad & is around the range we expected.
The don't have as many options though (for lunch or dinner), besides basic meats you have a few spicy & garlic options. If you're looking for a variety of flavors, meat that has been marinating to get that yumminess... this may not be the best choice for you. Don't get me wrong, it was still good but more selections would have been nice. My bro said the squid was really good. I did like that the sausage was almost comparable to little smokie links, they weren't super salty either. I'd recommend the thin slices of pork belly, whatever their sauces were... sesame oil (I think) & some red sauce, were delicious. It had a bit of heat to it but that's what really added flavor.
For me, the banchan is where they are winning. Every single one was delicious. Cucumbers, yes. Kimchi, yes - I don't even like kimchi but I ate theirs. Fish cakes, picked radish, potatoes, all good. I also like that they offer steamed eggs as a side, we didn't realize it until we were almost don't eating so we'll try it next time. Their friend dumplings are also really good, generous filling with a crispy outside, & not oily. And their rice, it's rice, but it's really good.
Restaurant seemed clean, restrooms were clean & well maintained. They had a lot of soda cases piled along the walls in the hallway to the restroom, they weren't in the way but I don't know if everyone wants to see product like that lined against the wall. Staff was nice, quick, & attentive.
I will return, glad to...
Read moreWe were 12 people, fully charge for all you can eat. We got seated around 8:20pm. 9:15pm they said last call. Saturday night, they were out of noodles, dumplings, egg, soup........ "12 people all you can eat they said" everything we try to order, they said I can only bring 4 orders, they have their own rules understandable. But from customer point of view, Saturday night, we went out to celebrate Birthday dinner. Everything we try to order for each person, we were they can only bring limited ordered. We were all starving. They were poorly under staffed. Words can't explain how bad was the experience. We left hungry, unsatisfied. I don't know where to start and where to end, how poor was the management. She called herself "Ellie", the manager. We requested egg, she said kitchen is closed, and she can't force the chef. We ordered soup, she said she can't force the chef, we ordered noodles, she said she can't force the chef, we ordered Dumplings which was brought 2 plates each time after 20 mins interval. 12 people, not even enough 1 piece each. She calls herself manager and she says, she can't force the chef to satisfy customer's need. And remember we ordered before 9:15 pm before their last call. And after a while they said she can't make anything because it's Saturday and they busy. ITS SATURDAY, PEOPLE GO OUT TO EAT. EVERY HOSPITALITY BUSINESS GETS EXTRA READY AND PREPARED, WITH EXTRA STOCK. They added 18% auto gratuity $70, it's not servers fault at all. But due to the whole dining experience, absolutely don't feeling like tipping. Am I obligated tip now? Before I forget, all the meats were dry, extremely lightly marinated so the meat was sticking on grill more than other...
Read moreNov. 2024 - 4 Stars We attended a birthday party at this new Grand Prairie location and sat in a party room. It was nice and the staff was attentive all night. The food was great as we grilled it right on the table. The reason for only 4 stars was too much brown lettuce patches. We did get fresher lettuce later on.
Oct. 2023 - 4 Stars Came here for a birthday party and had the buffet. The meats are fresh and we grilled our food on our tables. It was an overall very good experience except when we asked for lettuce and they brought out a dish with old lettuce and brown spots. We showed a waiter and he brought out a new plate with healthier looking lettuce.
2018 - 3 Stars I came with a large group but didn't want to eat the buffet since I had a big lunch. The waitress kept insisting that I order the buffet even though I specifically asked for the smaller menu. After asking 3 times, she finally gave me the menu. I don't know if it was the language barrier or just being pushy.
So, I ordered the Gal-Bi Tang (beef short rib soup). I enjoyed the soup and all the stuff in it, but it was a tad salty.
I'm sure that if I came with a big appetite, I would have enjoyed the buffet. I watched those around me grill and eat. It all looked great, but just didn't have the best experience this time. I enjoyed the Omi's in...
