My Brother Robert "Bobby" Steen Jr. was in the care of Brown Owens & Brumley Funeral Home after he was tragically killed in a motorcycle wreck. I cannot say Thank You enough to the staff at this funeral home. LaRita (Front Secretary/Paperwork) was amazing and so kind. Brenda (Obit/DVD/Gathering requested music) was great at what she did and so sweet. Dusty Pyle (Director) was caring and listened to our wants and needs not trying to pressure us into anything. Monte & Chris Brown filled in wherever they were needed. Zack Carnley (Embalmer) did an amazing job with our brother under the circumstances of his accident. Lee and Dusty were in charge of dressing our brother and everything was perfect. I cannot say thank you enough to all of the staff for being so considerate and they all showed the compassion that was needed in our time of need. Their funeral packages were very affordable and included more than the "Big Funeral Homes". This funeral home treats you like you are a part of their family. Thanks again everyone and thank you for all you...
Read moreI lost my dad in February. Without siblings or a spouse I was completely clueless and lost. A family member suggested Brown Owens & Brumley. From my first conversation with Lee I felt at ease. I'll also note that I called about six other funeral homes before speaking to Lee and I did not feel the same compassion and comfort with them that I did in talking to Lee. Everyone there was very kind and patient with me when I was at a loss and couldn't make decisions or changed my mind at the last minute. They do cremations on site which doesn't matter to some, but it was a big deal for me. I had a memorial for my dad at the funeral home and then a private family ceremony at The National Cemetery and they were there every step of the way. I can't say enough good things about them. In the most devastating time of my life I truly feel that they went above and beyond. They were also very patient and didn't hound me for payment as I was waiting on life insurance to pay for...
Read moreBrown Owens and Brumley helped make an extremely difficult time in our families lives a little less stressful. Jake did an amazing job helping with the service making sure our family's needs were met. During visitation he explained everything and what to expect and did an amazing job handling our mom with great care, dignity and respect.
Jake was always around to ensure everything went smoothly and even talked to us regarding grieving and helping to answer questions and just talking with the family expressing his condolences. Staff allowed the family to stay a little bit longer after the service as time permitted. There's so much i could add, but overall I wanted to thank Jake and the rest of the staff who helped for their outstanding service in our time of need. Time will heal pain, but the care, and dedication taken for our moms service will always...
