“The Place” is one giant backyard style, a la carte order, New England clambake. The menu is a giant red and white sign board visible from the seating area. Your young friendly wait staff will take your order on a plain paper notepad, while you watch the “chefs” tend to the cooking. They do it on a long jury rigged cinder block and expanded metal contraption fired by long, hardwood, saw mill bark waste slabs. Most ingenious and unique.

The menu consists of all things you could expect to find at a great, old style clambake. We settled on roasted corn on the cob and tinfoil packeted shrimp. (Probably fresh from our Gulf Coast.) Our friends ordered an appetizer of roasted cherry-stone clams on the half shell, fish cooked in tinfoil packets and roasted corn.

While we were there, they must have run out of pound and a half lobsters. A young guy climbed a very tall ladder and used a big yellow bungee cord to “X” out that menu selection.

Food was excellent but there service was below the average. I was with my family ordered an 19.B shrimp soup which was excellent. It was half for rupees 930 which was enough for 4 person.

We were full and we requested the staff to pack it and ordered another soup for takeaway. It took almost 20 minutes and then I asked brother how much time is it as I am waiting for 20 minutes. Instead of confronting. " Ap rush dekh rhy hain waut krren mgr chllen mein pta kr ata hun"

I was amazed. I was with my family and I don't want to be aggressive. 10 minutes later, I waived the order taker guy who took my order. I asked him brother mein pichly 25 minutes se wait kr rha hun he stopped me "apny order late dia hai phr aisay hi hoga".

The experience I got from service was horrible. I will not recommend it if you guys are visiting it with your family. A group if friends ir colleagues would be fine but not your family. Once again Amazing taste, amazing ambiance but service was not only below the average but...

Assalamualaikum. Visit this restaurant on Friday night . I usually go there whenever I visit Lahore I remember last time I visited there the food quality was good but this time this was all sweet Chinese we ordered Szechuan chicken which according to the waiter was spicy but there was no spice , beef chilli , hot & sour soup which was like corn soup with no taste of sour in it , egg fried rice which was good & last chicken Manchurian. I felt very embarrassed because I was with my brother & his family the food didn't taste as it was mentioned, it was all sweet . This visit felt like they put sugar instead of salt & spices in food .
