The restaurant's location and the building decor is excellent. First look and feel of the restaurant is of a high class dining place. The experience starts to change on seeing the menu. The menu has a vast choice from Chinese to Local Pakistani and continental to french cuisine, their seems to be confusion on what is there main culinary expertise. The staff was although nice but lacked basic knowledge and skills required for decent service. Hot and sour soup we ordered was totally bland and had unwanted lumps of corn flour. I would rate it 2 out of 10. I ordered Fillet mignon / tenderloin beef steak with Mushroom sauce baked potato and sauted vegetables. As I went to wash my hands I could see into the open kitchen and the steak being seared on the hot plate and to my surprise the fillet mignon was flattened like chicken breast. I objected but they say that's how we do it. Finally when the food was brought to table the sauce was not creamy but totally runny and had a mild taste of broth with few thin sliced of sticky mushrooms. I tasted the steak and it was over cooked while I requested medium rare. Well to cut the story short it's not worth the amount they charge (although less than other restaurants). We ended up paying Rs. 5500 for three people which I felt was way more than the...
Read moreWent early last night and really enjoyed the setting. It was a warm day and we arrived as it started to cool off so it was comfortable. There were only three of us, but we tried a large number of items. Seat yourself anywhere but service was a bit on the slow side but friendly (our server admitted later that the restaurant was short on wait staff). We had mussels and corn as an appetizer. Both were really good - the grilled corn was exceptional with a bit of char. We had lobster and steak for mains and they were so-so. The rare steak was exactly that - rare, but the ribeye was a little tough. We tried three desserts, cheesecake, Mississippi mud cake and an ice cream sundae. All serviceable.
My recommendation is that this is a great place for larger groups. BYOB is great and you can drag tables around for seating as you need. We saw a group with a table cloth, wine, etc. There is a large grocery store across the street so you can stock up on any drinks, etc. you need.
All in all, worth the trip if you are...
Read moreThis used to be my all time favorite for the best food, ambiance and prices, but after the last visit for dinner they have deteriorated in their food quality. The chicken jalfrezi was half the size handi and had no taste and seemed uncooked which we returned. Instead, we ordered chilman biryani which was very insipid tasting and not well prepared compared to what it tasted the previous times. This place has gone downhill in the past 4 months. Disappointing experience. I visited again in mid-May 2022 to give it another chance and was thoroughly disappointed. The customer service has gone down so much that they will not given cloth napkins, even when asked, but had a few flimsy paper pieces almost as thin as toilet paper. When asked for cloth napkins the manager told me that their owner has directed them against giving proper napkins as a cost-cutting measure. I wonder if they are skimming on immaterial issues as napkins what cheap items they are using in food, such as meats, cooking oil,...
