Mocca Coffee — Restaurant in Lahore Cantonment Tehsil

A very unique and extraordinary breakfast experience: 10/10

I’m someone who loves to eat something unique. And when it comes to breakfast, I’m extremely picky. I search for places that offer something different.

Decor; 9/10 but they could use some lights and decorations to further make the place look more classy.

Service: 10/10. The staff was super friendly and the delightful. I’m a huge fan of courtesy and kindness and I appreciate these traits more then the food. Even if the food isn’t good enough, if the staff is nice and friendly, they the place is certainly worth it. And this place was just too good. They even gave me a complimentary cake, which was so nice and sweet of them. And the greatest and more amazing thing about this cafe was the fact that they actually show cafe their FBR certificate. That is just sooo honest and worthy of appreciation. Especially nowadays when there is so much fraud going on in the name of GST, I must say that I was more then happy to pay the GST at this place when I saw the certificate. I think this is something every cafe and restaurant should start doing and I shall certainly be suggesting this to other cafes that I visit in the future.

Food: 9/10 I ordered their brunch breakfast. At first, I was apprehensive about it. I wasn’t really sure if it would be worth it or not. But boy was I surprised. Not only was the food presentable and delicious and fulfilling, the quality and quantity of the meal blew me away. It was fresh, it was yummy. It was certainly a very unique combination of savoury and sweet: scrabbles eggs, pancakes and so much more with your choice of smoothie or coffee.

Value for money: 9/10 Sure it’s expensive just like the rest of the gourmet cafes in Lahore but it’s certainly gives you value for your money. What with all the inflation and all, students like myself tend to be very careful when eating out, but I must say that I made the right choice for coming here.

This experience was amazing. It made me so happy. What’s a cafe if it doesn’t leave you feeling delighted? This place has lost the cozy vibes and perfect ambiance I used to come here for. Coffee shops are supposed to be comfortable enough for hangouts and even a calm working environment. They used to offer the same, but not anymore. Their internet is never working, it can’t be coincidental and is definitely lack of service they don’t want their customers to get and sit here for longer. Because this is something I have experience during my 4 visits in past 6 months. It’s never Working, so ofc they do not want to provide that service.

Talking about my recent experience, at first they asked me to adjust sitting near to the other AC because only 1 AC was turned on where people were already sitting. They refused to turn the other AC on (the one above me) and told they are NOT ALLOWED to do so. How are they not allowed to turn on AC for customers in this hot weather? Upon me requesting again and again, they turned it on, and was turned off right after I finished my food!!! Even the food wasn’t up to the mark today

You can come here only if you plan to sit for short time, you might be lucky enough to get good atmosphere. I won’t be coming...

Irish latte carried the whole cafe on its back.

Went to Mocca Coffee late at night, expecting a chilled-out caffeine fix. What I got instead was a sauna with espresso.

The ACs were off (in this heat??), the main floor was shut, and I was left with the choice between the cramped ground floor or a rooftop that felt more like a waiting lounge for heatstroke. Whole vibe felt eerily similar to Contra Coffee both in look and taste.

Tried:

Irish Latte – genuinely good. Smooth, not overly sweet. I'd come back for just this.

Spanish Latte – nah. Missed the mark. Too sweet, too basic, and weirdly watery.

Came here based on recommendations, but… not sure what people are sipping to get that excited. This isn’t a place I’d want to keep returning to, unless the ACs start working, the first floor opens up, and someone hides the Spanish latte.

Final Word:

Vibe: 3.5/5 – nice-looking but too common now, and borderline uncomfortable at night

Service: Passable

Drinks: 6/10

Overall: A very average...
