Villa The Grand Buffet in Gulberg falls drastically short of expectations especially for a lunch outing. Despite its claim to offer a wide variety of dishes, the food quality and overall experience were profoundly underwhelming. The menu presented a wide range of options but very few delivered on flavor. The cream of chicken soup and sticks were the only somewhat redeemable items but even they barely reached an “average” rating. The salad bar was especially disappointing with a subpar presentation and taste, resembling a hastily assembled afterthought rather than a proper buffet staple. The chicken dishes lacked distinction, merely hovering at mediocrity. Desserts, though slightly better, offered nothing extraordinary. Puri Halwa was unimpressive, Gujjar Halwa was outright unpleasant and the sushi was a complete letdown in both taste and flavor. While the chocolate fountain seemed to hold some promise, it was evident it was reserved for dinner service, leaving lunch patrons feeling. The seating and lighting were lackluster with an uninspired and untidy look that failed to create a welcoming environment. The space lacked the polished feel expected of a restaurant catering to diners. Compared to its Lake City branch, the Gulberg location felt significantly inferior, giving the impression of a “make-shift” lunch arrangement rather than a well-thought-out dining experience. For the price charged, the experience was far from satisfying. With so many unappetizing options, it felt like a waste of money to dine here particularly during lunch. The food and ambiance clearly lacked the care and attention that diners deserve, making it hard to recommend this location to anyone looking for a quality meal. One saving grace was the staff, who were courteous and accommodating throughout. However, excellent service cannot make up for substandard food and a disappointing atmosphere. Villa The Grand Buffet, Gulberg, needs a serious overhaul of its lunch offerings, from food quality and presentation to ambiance and value. While it may hold potential for dinner service, lunch was a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience. As it stands, this location fails to deliver on its promise of a “grand buffet” and is not a place I’d recommend...
Read moreI for sure thought that the buffet scene in Lahore was not dying out and I personally not being a huge fan of buffets myself didn’t go into this with High expectations.
The place was incredibly crowded but that could be due to the fact that it was a weekend. The ambiance and decor is gorgeous. Modern, simplistic and fresh. The staff is prompt and courteous. The food is cooked fresh right infront of the serving areas and constantly replenished.
The had a super wide variety of things to offer from sushi to dumplings (which were slightly disappointing) to all kinds of Japanese/Chinese including delicious fried shrimp, Continental including deliciously juicy mediterranean chicken strips, rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes, Moroccan and tarragon chicken, salads, sauces, desi including golgappy, freshly fried jalebis and this is just naming a few. Their menu is super varied and fresh so loved that! 8/10 for the food! You get served drinks of your choice and really good tea at the end. The desserts are amazing! There’s a chocolate fountain and fresh crepes being made of your choice. The apple pie was divine 🤤
The complain I have, which I have with just about every buffet in pakistan is that the food leftover is entirely wasted and there is lots because people wish to try tasting everything and overload their plates. I was having a hard time finishing off my plate and asked the manager whether they give the clean leftovers to the poor or atleast feed it to nearby animals like dogs and they told me that they waste all the leftover food which is pretty disappointing 😔 specially considering we live in a third world country where hunger is a huge issue and many don’t even get a decent meal in a day. Hopefully they can work out a system to sort out the food and feed those in need be it human or animal. I feel all food places need to be a bit more socially responsible in this regard.
The price is roughly 1550 PKR per head which pretty reasonable for the quality...

We and group fellows, you have visited many buffet or high tea points. The most of the time, their flow is
Told them a number of persons. Pay 25 or 50% (most of the time) to confirm your slot. Viola! Enjoy your time and pay the remaining at the end of time. Most of the times persons of your group are complete and sometimes the number of persons increase than the actual count that we have told the restaurant. Sometimes 1 or 2 persons are dropped either of their own willingness (which is very bad) or due to an emergency. At the time like this, every restaurant has flexibility for at least 1 person like ok no problem.
We called this VILLA for a booking of 10 to 12 persons. Paid some amount in advance and reached the destination. One friend got dropped due to an accident. We told them about when we reached there.
At the time of billing, they said you need to pay for 12 people. We apologized and told them that we have already told you that only 1 of our men didn't come so we will only pay for 11 persons.
They kept denying it. Their hall was not full, their seats were empty. After a long argument of half an hour we paid for 11 persons.
The thing is management has been very unethical, unprofessional and uneducated. They kept saying Bhai written agia hai to ye to Woh.
Mtlb Kia Bhai. Kaafi high tea kin Hain kahin aisay Nahi hota. Love kitchen mein ventilation nai thi aur AC bhi on nai thy kr rhy.
I would not recommend anyone to visit it. Even though the taste was good. But agr management ne aisay krna ho to faida Nahi.
