Tori tori looks like a small Japanese cuisine you may pass by when driving on the main street. But it definitely worths u paying attention to get it! The front side of this cute Japanese restaurant/bar shows they attempt to treat every customer with Japanese tradition. And they really do! The grilled chicken and wings here were perfectly delicious! The cooks made them directly in front of u and u could enjoy the smoky flavors in advance. They also served sashimi with nice fish which were legit fresh and bright. Besides, a special local Japanese soju, Palauan Nagomi, was served as well. I so much enjoyed the harmony of sea food with Nagomi (the meaning of Nagomi is “peaceful and enjoyable”. That is just how i feel in Palau.) Tori tori can be the best on my list of roasting chicken in Palau. And the price was even fine to tourist. It was not “the kind” of typical island food, however, it remarkably translated the chill and wonderful lifestyle here with amazing Japanese values. If you are happening to be a gourmet visiting Koror for several days, this place wont...

However I was pleasantly surprised by the variety, quality, and portions of the food for the cost relative to many of the options on the main drag. The specials are generous and fresh, in particular the wagyu steak and scallop nigiri. The mangrove clams in sake were sweet and tender, just cooked enough to taste. Skip the broiled giant clam because it’s very chewy. Between Zigu and Tori Tori, I rather appreciated the bar seating for the atmosphere. Service is a bit slow and the food runs a little salty, but considering many of the raw fish options around town were not very fresh, this was the only place I ate twice in a row in my...
Read moreThe staff act very unprofessional. Did not give me towel but they gave the 2 Japanese customer towels. Double standard which is not acceptable here.
This restaurant is an imitated Japanese restaurant. I ordered sizzling giant clam but it did not look like or take like giant clam. Horrible staff interaction. The steam rice was nice. I was thinking of order sashimi combo but I decide to go some where else.
I traveled for food but this was the first restaurant I was really disappointed at the staff and the food. Hopefully the owner will talk to them about my visit.
The photo are just to indicate that I dined here. The towels are for the Japanese customers ( where...
