They deserve 10+ stars! FANTASTIC, modern, clean Bed & Breakfast apartment style “Hotel” one block down quiet residential street from downtown Koror. Hotel manager Mr Oya, breakfast chef & housekeeper Daisy (and their delightful and helpful spouses), all go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and safe. Garden Palace Palau is perfect for business travelers and scuba divers who want a modern, clean, comfortably air conditioned place to stay, along with the convenience of walking to town without having to rent a car. Each apartment styled room has a kitchenette. There are two full grocery stores only 1-2 blocks away and a wide selection of restaurants for grab ‘take-out’ food after a long day in business meetings or on the boat. In the mornings, just walk up to their roof-top dining area for a customize meal styled to your preferences (traditional American or Japanese breakfast). Garden Palace will provide transfers from/to Airport, even in the middle of the night! And, if you want to rent a car for the day, there are car rental agencies within easy walking distance. We cannot say enough positive things about our experiences at Garden Palace Palau. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Oya and Daisy & Rome for an amazing and memorable...

We loved staying at this conveniently located hotel in the center of Koror. Oya was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble for him. Our room was spotless and huge with a separate sitting area, plenty of closet space, a small kitchen with everything needed to make a simple meal. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo and one long storage shelf for all your bathroom needs. The hotel is just off the main road in Koror so was quiet and we had a beautiful view from our private balcony of the tropical garden next door. Breakfast was served on the top floor with eggs fixed like you wish plus bacon, fresh fruits, cereal, breads and juices. We are scuba divers who have visited Palau many times over the past 40 years and have stayed in many hotels in Koror but this is our favorite and we will stay here on our next visit. BTW, there is a covered drying area and a rinsing tub for scuba gear on the top floor which is very convenient. You can walk to many restaurants and some will come to the hotel and take you to and from their business free of...

The price brings it down to four (4) stars, but everything else is five (5) stars, with the experience being six (6) stars. Note, all hotels are expensive in Palau. Low Season USD 168/night (150 + 12% GOV Tourist Tax)

Wonderfully clean, quiet hotel, just off the main street down a hill that shelters it from main street traffic sounds. Also close to shopping (W.C.T.C.), eating cheap at "Canoe House" (American), mid-range Japanese at "Tori Tori," or pricey at "Taj" (Indian). Pharmacy & clinic also nearby.

Breakfast (included for tourists), served on roof. Tropical birds visible from roof, looking into rainforest.

Managed by Oyasan, a wonderfully pleasant, and helpful owner. He helped arrange last-minute activities. We were also awarded complimentary extras when extending our stay.

Staff from the Philippines, attentive above expectations.

When power fails, this hotel has a generator. We had Wifi & hot showers, when other diving friends didn't.

Parking (free)

Laundry ($5 per load) Great Quality

All cards (except AMEX) accepted.

The good thing about this Hotel, Room are really Big and feel very comfortable with Japanese touch ! Super clean too ! Now regarding the hotel itself, i do think that it is overpriced for what you get in return, the breakfast is every day the same and really small portion, there is no way that you can request for more…. I stayed there for 3 nights, my idea was to stay longer, I try to negotiate the price face to face, but they were not willing to go down with the price per night despite the fact that the Hotel was may be only 30% occupied… As i extended my stay in Palau i decided to then change Hotel for Better price / Better Service.

As a Marriott Ambassador elite member, this is my first time to stay at a small hotel/B&B/guesthouse in Kotor of Palau, due to no Marriott/Hilton/IHG/Hyatt hotel or any other group hotels here yet. However, this small hotel is amazingly much better than I expected. Free airport transfer, delicious breakfast, clean room and abundant amenities in room, convenient location near 2 supermarkets, generous late check out. I recommend it very much if you visit Palau.
