Palm Bay Bistro — Restaurant in Malakal

Would've given 3.5 Stars (not allowed on app). Good place to bring friends and family. Food quality is fair. Pricing is a bit high but some dishes are definitely worth it. Staff is very friendly but tend to act as if the customer doesn't know what they want. I've been here many times with only a couple of bad experiences. Mainly because our orders get questioned. Once, my mother had ordered a dish and the waitress asked if she was sure she wanted it. My mother said she did, but the waitress went on to explain what the dish was as if we didn't know. After her explanation, she just looked at us as if she wanted us to cancel our order. It was an awkward silence so I asked if we can have the dish. She looked at my mom all confused and asked if she wanted something else. Good place but the staff should consider that maybe the customers do know what they feel...

Thy did not have the 2 first seafood dishes I ordered. Especially astonished they did not have catch of the day. But the dish I got was OK. Not above expectation but good. The Mojito on the contrary was disappointing. First attempt tasted coconut. I got a new for free but it was not very tasty. The staff was nice and the food came fast but I stayed the whole evening. Cost was not budget but fair. 2 pints local beer, maindish and a drink costed 45 dollar. The view from the balcony and cleanliness is above expectation. I could recommend this place for food but...

Great dinner option. Huge portion sizes for a good price, I had the Thai Chicken Pasta that was tasty and had a bunch leftover. They have good variety of pasta, fresh fish cooked in various ways, burgers and also a Japanese menu. The inside seating is a bit dark but they also have an outside patio that overlooks the water.
