Coco Fastronomy - Boquete — Restaurant in Bajo Boquete

In a land of BBQ, Italian, Mexican, and pizza, we were excited to try something new. I mean what's a bape? Well, we left somewhat disappointed. It is counter service which is fine, all outdoor seating, some covered.

We got the bapurgesa and the best thing about it was the bread. I wanted a beer so I didn't want the combo at $3.50 but I wanted fries. They charge $4 for the side of fries! Check the picture, it wasn't much (see the picture). But even if it was more, the fries weren't that great.

We also got a teriyaki chicken bowl, and the best part about it was the teriyaki chicken (and there wasn't much of that). The rice and beans were ok but the croquet was "different."

All in all, we tried something different and don't really need...

Great, extensive menu. Delicious food. The jerk chicken bowl in particular was amazing. My only complaint would be that the salad did not have a description. I had assumed it would be similar to the bowl without the rice, but is actually more of a Caesar salad with a huge helping of parmesan cheese. It wasn't a bad salad, but had I known I would have just gotten...

A hidden gem of a place. The covered outdoor seating is pleasant and the location is sheltered from a lot of street noise. The food is excellent and affordable. We had several people ordering different things and it all looked great. I would definitely add this to my list...
