We visited Boquete for three days in early December and had dinner twice at this restaurant. Our first meal was tasty and fantastic value for money. It reminded us of our meals at Cafe Coca Cola in Panama City. On our second visit our meal was not as satisfying primarily because our chicken was cold. The rice and beans were also a bit on the dry side. The excellent fried bread partly compensated for the dry rice. For this reason, I can only offer three stars.

Read moreThis is a Fonda, and as a result, it is local fare and may very well be the cheapest food in town. Nonetheless, the fact remains that I've still visited other Fondas in Panama with better food and better service at less expensive prices. Some parts of my breakfast were cold, some were flavourless, and I'm not sure anyone working behind the counter has heard of 'service with a smile.'
