Dine at 'La Casa del Marisco,' the most upscale restaurant in Panama City, and your fellow diners will be some of the most prestigious and influential people outside of Club Unión... Presidents, both current and former, Assemblymen, CEO's, bankers, and lawyers are the 'regulars.' Service is as flawless as the seafood, and the hosts and wait staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The "pescado" is the finest in the city, prepared fresh, and plated meticulously (the Lobster Creole, being my favorite). Suit and tie attire for gentlemen is recommended, and table-side stands are available in case you wore your Panama Hat, for a night on the town! And a proverbial tip of the hat, to Panama City's finest... Thanks again, and I'm looking forward to my return!

We went to this restaurant for dinner while in Panama in April 2023. Although I read some negative reviews I thought I'd give it a try. Ordered grouper as recommended by the staff as it was the special of the day. It was too salty and had too much garlic in it that was burnt and it overpowered the fish. Paid almost US$75 excluding tip for 2 entrees and a glass of regular wine, which would have been a reasonable price if the food was great. Not worth it in this case. If you like a formal setting and that's all you need this is the place to go, but If you are looking for really good seafood go somewhere else. The gentleman who looked after us was very professional though.

Heard great things about this restaurant from some locals.

Was greeted by the door man and was promptly seated. Server came along and I explained I didnt speak spanish and asked kindly if someone spoke English. He stormed off quite upset. I could see him yelling at the door man for seating me in his section.

Took some time to get another server to come over to us. Which is understandable. No problem.

Once we clarified some quick questions about the menu we promptly ordered.

Lobster mac and cheese was soo good! Loved it. Calamari was different than what I expected but tried it none the less. Was drowned in garlic butter, it was not appetizing.

My wife had the grouper with onions and mushroom, she loved every bit of her meal. I had some too. The fish was perfectly cooked.

I had the lobster creole with a side of rice. It was pretty good. Nothing...

I invited a group of visitors for a business dinner. Service was very good. The captain was attentive as well as other acquaintances. Sangria was on point as well as the pulpo a la gallega.

We ordered 3 seafoods pealla and they were too salty all three plates. Very disappointing that the kitchen missed out the flavor for a restaurant like this one. I have high expectation from them in all aspects because it is supposed to be fine dining.

The squid ink was a bit salty as well. Not sure what happened that night with the heavy seasoning.

They replaced the paella with zarzuela de mariscos, not sure if it was because they were skeptical with the salt, the zarzuela de mariscos came nearly no flavor.
