Go here for the $2 empanadas! This was my first time trying a cachapa, it was HUGE and very filling - think a slightly sweetened fluffy corn pancake with ham and cheese inside. For almost $9 wouldn’t order again. Arepas - avocado was underripe and chicken was very creamy but not much flavor. The beef/plantain was much tastier. Ask for extra garlic sauce, that stuff was magical! Also the guava and cheese cachito was very yummy, generous amount of fillings and traveled well even on a plane. The ladies helping me were very nice and I was able to get by with my minimal Spanish. Read moreThe arepa was okay. Coffee was dismal. Price has gone up 20-30% in the last few months alone (you can check old menus in the photos), so it is no longer a reasonably priced establishment. Just overpriced for mediocre food. I would recommend checking out other more reasonably priced good food in the neighborhood.

Read moreWe had a relatively quick and very cheap lunch of an arepa and two empanadas here. The reina arepa was obviously better than any version I've had in the US and the chicken empanada was so flavorful and juicy! My partner enjoyed his ham and cheese empanada. They came to us incredibly hot and felt so fresh. The hot sauce on the table adding just a little kick.
