Incredibly low prices for a pretty good hotel. I paid just forty dollars for this place which is right in the middle of Via Argentina, a nightlife hotspot with trendy and hip international restaurants. No surprise this is an area frequented by tourists. Not exactly a renown shopping area, though. You will have to go to the malls for that.
Here is a hotel that does not stop surprising me. The low price in such a nice neighborhood made me think it was a cheap hotel. And in a way it is. But then in a way it is not. The good things are that the place has free parking, a swimming pool, an entrance suitable for an upscale hotel, good service, very nice rooms with good beds and big windows, and overall very presentable. They should be applauded for these things. Then you realize why it is so inexpensive. Breakfast is not always included. The parking lot is incredibly small and the driveway is tight. Some of the walls in the reception area are worn and in need of aesthetic improvement. On my second stay, our room had a leaky air conditioning unit that left a puddle on the floor. And in the morning it trickled so much water that I had to put the garbage can underneath to act as a bucket.
The bottom line is that the forty dollars is worth it. The rooms, beds and bathrooms are too nice to discount. And it is right in the middle of a trendy area. I would have given five stars based on my first stay. But lowered it after the second. I would say that this hotel is worth using and I may...
Read moreBooked with them through a third party (booking.com). Upon my arrival from the airport they refused to rent me a room. They told me there was “a water filtration system problem “. This may have been true and they proceeded to send me to a sister hotel that was two blocks away. So we walked there and the lady administrator at the sister hotel was extremely rude and also refused to rent me a room …she also told me Ramada didn’t pick up the phone for her when she tried verifying the situation. So I ended up having to book another place independently. Which happened to be more expensive than this Ramada. Unbeknownst to me. I also had to submit the invoice for my stay(to the third party booking.com). At this point now; they are saying that they won’t reimburse me for the difference in prices between this Ramada and the hotel I had to book and stay at independently. Let the buyer beware. Stay away from here if you wish to have a smooth and stress free vacation in Panama City, Panama. ALSO DEFINITELY DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM AS A THIRD PARTY TRAVEL AGENCY. Because they will have you stressed and confused at businesses...
Read moreWas travelling with my girlfriend and our flight was delayed so we arrived at the hotel after 1130pm to check in, very tired. When we got to the room the air was very stuffy and the floor was dusty. The bedsheets were not fresh, were stained and smelt like old clothes. When we pulled back the window shades, so must dust came off, omg. We weren't pleased at all. We tried to sleep, while wearing our own clothes in the bed, but we keep coughing and had throat and sinus irritation. In the morning we realised the bottom of our feet were black from walking on the floor barefoot. We checked out the hotel morning after. Not a good experience. We had booked for 7night and stayed 1 night. Management told us that we would get a refund back through our travel agent that made the booking. It has been 2 weeks since then and our travel agent is saying that they won't answer the phone or reply to her emails after she first tried to get our money back. These people are very...
