We booked the New Year's special, a 4 course menu incl 1 bottle of champagne per 2 persons for 60$/Pers. The menu card did not really explain what the dishes actually were, and our waitress did not speak English (really weird for a restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel?!). One of us luckily spoke Spanish but the waitress' description of the dishes did not clarify anything, so we ended up choosing more or less blindly. The non-veggie meals were good and tasty but the veggie appetizer and main course were a joke! The appetizer consisted of a bowl of pure edmamame beans, no nothing coming along with it, and the main course were mushrooms in a watery sauce, again nothing on the side. We tried to get some bread for the sauce but they didn't have any and neither offered something else (eg. rice which they DID have) so we ourselves asked for bread in the restaurant next door. Also quiet interesting/ ridiculous for such a restaurant was that they could not arrange an alternative to the Amuse Bouche for one of us who is allergic to fish, especially considering that we havent been asked about allergies / dietary restrictions beforehand. Not even serving a smaller version of an appetizer as the Amuse Bouche seemed possible! The staff was very friendly but too incompetent for such a pricey restaurant: not able to explain the menu, not stopping by our table to ask whether we need anything to drink (we had to wave or "shout" at her), and not flexible. Finally, she gave us the wrong bill and when we pointed out to her that we need to pay more (75$ more!) she couldn't even properly say thank you. Summary: meat and fish are tasty, veggie options not okay, incompetent staff and so all in...
Read moreExpensive with a snooty staff. I could handle this if the food was delicious, but alas, no. They claim the pasta is made in-house, but it was too chewy and heavy. The seasoning was bland and not special enough for the prices. I really wanted to like it because it was beautifully plated. I also liked the ambience of the Hard Rock Hotel and they let us sit on the sofas so my daughter could play. Unfortunately, I...
Read moreThe food isn’t great. The pasta was way oversalted. The hamburger, ordered rare, came out medium well. And not good. Really, the edible. Left on the plate. No offer to take it off the bill. Wine steward struggled for more than 5 minutes to open a bottle of wine, which was decent. The best part of the meal. Won’t be back here. We are in PC for another 10-15 days a year. Try...
