Vegano-O-No — Restaurant in Bella Vista

The food was very tasty and we really liked the restaurant's mission to promote vegan food to gain environmental advantages as well as other positive effects. Due to that we were willing to pay a price which is probably above the average prices for a hotdog or a burger.

An older guy served us and told us a little bit about the place and his life story. At first it was interesting and lovely. Unfortunately, at some point we were a little bit annoyed - especially while eating. He offered us post cards, wanted to take a photo of us, offered us dessert etc. All fine but please let us eat and don't interrupt us every 5 minutes. That was too much and destroyed the ambiente. Also, in my opinion it is a sign of bad service when the plates are taken away although some people are still eating. When we decided we wanted to have desert because it was offered at least 2 times to us it got served (warm) while we were still eating the main course?!

Additionally, there was a problem with the side dishes. We didn't get all of the included side dishes. We had to ask for them and received them later. When we wanted to pay they popped up as extra costs on the bill and we had to discuss about the fact that it was a mistake. Overall, it seemed very suspicious to serve us less food then serve it to us with a matter of course after we complained and then put it as extra costs on the bill what was then sold as a mistake.

During our 1 week trip to Panamá City, we went to Vegan-O-No twice, and both times were absolutely amazing! The first trip, I got the Jerk Burger & my friend got the American Dog (pictured) which was very very good. Ask for their salsa picante if you like spicy- it's perfect for dipping the plantain chips in! My friend said that the hot dog was the best she had in her entire life, which meant we had to come back to try more of their hot dog options! A couple days later, we returned for dinner and I got the chillin Dog, while my friend got the Bratwurst- and I have to agree, these hot dogs are unbelievably delicious - and I'm not even a vegan! We met the owner who gave us a really warm welcome and was able to chat with us for a bit, and ended up buying a bottle of the salsa picante to take with us back home. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting Panamà city- whether or not you are vegan. Also, all their food is also gluten free-- which you can barely tell! The Food, service, and atmosphere are absolutely fantastic. Jack, the owner is an absolute delight. I had the crazy cheeseburger and my wife had the loaded fries. The burger was well done and the smoky BBQ sauce was ooooo so good. The wife and I shared the loaded fries and believe no food was leftover for us to take.

There was no dessert available since we came in on a Sunday. Jack assured us they would have dessert options on Wednesday. So with that being said we will be back on Wednesday to enjoy another meal and definitely have dessert. If you're Vegan...this is a MUST VISIT LOCATION. Eat, Drink, and be Merry,...
