I was in Panama for two weeks and I liked this place so much I visited each week. The first time there were only two of but the second time I brought a group of nine women.
First, let me say the view is incomparable. It’s very impressive, especially with the warm lighting after sunset.
Secondly, the drinks are delicious and creative. All 10 of us enjoyed our cocktails.
Thirdly, Monday night was very quiet and romantic. Sunday night with the ladies was lots of fun! The DJ is playing American 80s and house music at first. Then he switched it to Afrobeats then Latin music. It was a good mix of music that makes you want to move! Even though there’s no dance floor, a few of us got up to dance. It was a good time!
As you can guess, getting the orders of nine women was difficult. There were so many questions and changes (two pescatarians, two vegetarians and one vegan. I couldn’t have done it. But our waitress, Vanessa was patient and courteous. She didn’t speak English, but I was able to translateto my guest (and she also had one guy—maybe a manager—there to help translations). All the orders came out correctly. We were pleased.
Lastly, the food. It’s hit or miss. I loved the avocado with fish chorizo, salmon, empanadas and NY Strip. I disliked the mushroom ravioli and octopus black rice.
I will say this, most places with outstanding ambience have really bad food. Kanival has an amazing setting with good drinks, competent staff, and decent food. I highly...

Our group decided to visit this restaurant after seeing it featured on TikTok. To get straight to the point…
Pros: The food was truly enjoyable—credit to the chef for delivering on that front. The ambiance was lovely, creating a great atmosphere for dining. Additionally, our waitress was an absolute standout. Despite the high-pressure environment, she remained professional, warm, and incredibly attentive. She deserves far more recognition for her hard work.
Cons: We were served water around 8:30 PM, which seemed fine at first. However, after placing our order, the issues began. Between 8:30 PM and 10:45 PM, we waited nearly two and a half hours to receive our meals. Our waitress, who was single-handedly managing three large group tables, was clearly overworked—which is unacceptable for a high-rated restaurant.
At one point, whom I believe to be the owner or supervisor did apologize, but the sincerity of the gesture seemed to fade once it was time to settle the bill. Strangely, several male figures in black suits suddenly appeared with payment processors, despite being entirely absent during our long wait or any prior concerns.
While the hype around the food is understandable—credit once again to the chef—the service and management left much to be desired. If it weren’t for our exceptional waitress, I’d give this restaurant zero...
Read moreLet me start off by saying the ambiance is world class. The views of the city are unmatched. Great vibe. With that being said, I’m a big foodie. I’ve been in panama for 10 days now and I been highly disappointed on the food here. I’ve been to several recommended places. And not 1 has delivered an all around good meal. Let around great! Now I will tell you about our dining experience. We went there for a buddy’s bday. There were 6 of us. The best thing by far was the steak. We got 2 prime rib eyes. I like how they bring the hot stone out so you can cook it more to your liking. They cut it up and serve it rare. The octopus was tender and flavorful as well. The salad was soggy and warm, and they brought it out with the steak which took an hour to get. In the states I would have definetely took it back. Since I don’t know Spanish very well I just sucked it up and paid for it. The waiters were young and seemed like they didn’t have much experience. I was really excited to try this place. Looking at the reviews and seeing the pictures. We spent $600 for the 6 of us. And once again I was dissapointed on another hyped up place! There’s gotta be good food in...
