I recently celebrated my birthday at Lazotea, and I can confidently say that it was an experience I’ll cherish forever—largely thanks to our outstanding server, Luis! From the moment we arrived, Luis went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration was nothing short of spectacular.

Luis greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, immediately making us feel special on my big day. He took the time to understand our preferences and made personalized recommendations from the menu that were spot on! Each dish was a delightful surprise, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was evident that Luis had a deep knowledge of the menu and a passion for the culinary delights Lazotea has to offer.

What truly set Luis apart was his attentiveness and thoughtfulness throughout the evening. He frequently checked in on us, making sure our drinks were full and that we were enjoying our meal, all while maintaining a friendly and relaxed demeanor. When dessert time came, Luis surprised me with a complimentary birthday treat, complete with a candle and the warmest wishes. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made me feel celebrated and loved.

Horrible service! When the service is bad and the food is bad we make sure to not go back. The food was okay, but the service was horrible. A party of six in the late afternoon hoping to have an enjoyable evening with wonderful views. The views were excellent. We ordered 5 dinners and an appetizer as an entrée. We were immediately warned that the appetizer would take a long time to arrive. We were surprised to learn also that there were no local beers or any typical liquors except for Ron Abuelo. After about an hour the appetizer arrived and within a few more minutes four of the five meals arrived. One of the meals that did not make it was a fish dish similar to one that had made it to the table. I made a comment that we were missing one meal and were told that it was on the way. After several minutes our friend insisted we start eating before our food gets too cold. We were about a third of the way through our meals and I asked the waiter to please check on the missing meal because I was afraid that my friend would not get his meal before we were finished, we were again assured that the meal was on its way. After an hour and half we had all finished and still waited on the meal. We asked to speak to a manager and were assured he would be there soon. Fifteen minutes later the manager arrived to ask what he could help with and we complained that the meal had been forgotten or lost and were assured it would be right out. After two hours we asked to cancel the meal and almost immediately it was delivered to the table. The night that we were hoping to celebrate with family that just arrived into the country was less than enjoyable. I do not wish this experience on anyone else. I had a bad experience last friday. I have never seen such bad service. The waiter did a good job. First of all, we arrived early and the receptionist let me choose a table, the place was empty. It had been raining all day when we arrived it had stopped and we sat outside. It rained softly while and we were sitting outside and when the rain stopped, a girl, I believe to be the manager, started to collect the umbrellas. She asked to remove our umbrella and my husband asked why and if she was sure it wouldn't rain again. She ignored the question, looked at the waiter and said “okay, leave that one” and went to the other table. She was super arrogant and if that's the manager I'm sorry but you guys need a new one as soon as, one that’s more professional and knows how to talk to people. If not enough this unfortunate episode, another woman who was organizing the reservations simply asked for "permiso" and stuck a sign on the table with someone else's name and time.

Our plans were to drink and eat at this place, but in an extremely rude way, just putting the sign, she informed us that And I really hope you find better employees. we would have to leave the table at 7pm because someone else would arrive. They didn't even tell us that table would be a reservation later, and didn't even ask if we'd like another table. We asked for the check out in the same time, we just had a drink and the idea was to stay longer, but we went to eat at another restaurant with a totally different service!!
