Ristretto - coffee — Restaurant in Arequipa

Ristretto Coffee House is a gem in Arequipa, a specialty coffee shop that serves delicious desserts and drinks. The server/chef were phenomenal, they made me feel welcome and pampered. I had the waffle with ice cream and chocolate syrup, which was phenomenal. The waffle was crispy and fluffy, the ice cream was creamy and rich, and the chocolate syrup was decadent and smooth. I also had the Nutella latte, which was out of this world. It was a perfect balance of coffee and hazelnut, with a generous amount of whipped cream on top. I loved the cozy and artistic atmosphere...

Even though the service and the place are nice, I can't tell the same for their coffee, I just took 1 American (looked like dark water without body, etc), and my partner took a flat white, We were so disappointed. The food was good, though. However, the worst part was when I wanted to pay. In any part of the shop, it wasn't indicated that they only accept cash, and they charge 3% if you use your credit card. So, if you want to go, take in mind...

What an awesome speciality coffee place! The coffee is the best I have tried in Arequipa. The selection ranges from espresso, americano right through to V60! The atmosphere is cosy with a cool vibe (great music!) to work in. The WIFI is strong and there is also additional seating upstairs. We also had the waffles and fruit juice...both of which were very good. Service is friendly and professional!

We look forward to going back when we return...
