Beautiful presentation but...
So this was our second time at mö and we returned because our first experience was indeed awesome, the sandwiches were delicious and the french toasts too. This time around though, it was a completely different experience, the dish you see on the image attached looks beautiful to the eyes but in reality that bread was hard and dry and the gourmet potatoes were greasy and burnt. We also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich we had ordered on our first visit and the quality was nowhere close to that one time we had it, sadly i didn't take a picture of it to make a comparison but it was: significantly smaller, the bread crust was not crispy at all like a good grilled sandwich should be(try 'el pan de la chola') but it was also accompanied by these potato chips that were mushy and noticeable old, they were not crispy and fresh and far from the original type of potato (which is purple and more premium) they served the first time. We did mention these concerns to our waiter who after a while came back with another grilled cheese sandwich that was slightly better in quality but still not like the original, he was also kind enough to let us know that they did change the type of potato chips because of supply issues and that the mushiness was due to them using the leftovers from the day before (?). I would comment about the pancakes but i think the point was made. We will still return one more time tho, hoping for a different experience since this may be a problem with the time of the day we went to have breakfast dishes when it was...
Read moreWent for Breakfast, most of its alternatives are waffles, french toasts, pancakes and sandwiches. It is located in a nice corner in Miraflores. Mo aims to offer international flavors and thus, targeting tourists or locals that enjoy American-style Breakfast/Brunch. This can be upsetting for those coming from countries where some of these plates are far more common. Ordered naan + hummus: naan arrived cold, flat , tough and overdone, beside been pretty small. Hummus was OK. Waffles also arrived cold/dry. Almost not berries on them.Juices were fine, nothing impressive. Fresco Trout in focaccia bread was ok. Americano coffee was good. Service can be slow, but it does fine. Overall, I d say it is an average alternative. food can certainly be better, specially considering the price and comparing Mo with other restaurant in the area. I would not reccomend this restaurant for...
Read moreWe did breakfast and dinner, the building is beautiful in the day light, service was relaxed and professional, food was a welcome relief from standard local fair, a international menu with all the good bits. Reminded me of cafes in Sydney, great coffee and cocktails, well aperol spritz is hard to screw up but non the less it was all tops.
Dinner we had a complete upgraded experience, the food was excellent, fresh and flavorful, diverse and well presented. The menu once again was very international, there was fish, lamb and duck of the day too. Deserts did not disappoint, the macadamia tart was the best way to end an excellent dinning experience in Lima. Thank you for...
