Makoto Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Arrived at this venue with my wife and some friends. We ordered for a sushi package can't recall the items ordered,it arrived on a huge boat and placed in the centre of the table.The waiter serving us was young and slightly inexperienced the sushi though was absolutely delicious, fresh and flavourful. I was very disappointed in the drinks side of there service, I ordered a Negroni cocktail throughout the evening and on each occasion it was inconsistent. Now seeing that I'm paying over 50 soles for a drink I'm expecting consistency which it was not. I complained to the waiter as the bartender forgot to stir the drink as all the gin was sitting on top which you can see and taste. I told him to take it back and make a new one (as it was still full) and the waiter returned to tell me the bartender says there's nothing wrong with it. I decided to make this my first dinner in Lima upon reading the reviews. Less than 24 hours after eating here, I became horribly ill, throwing up all night and unable to get out of bed the next day. I try to be careful about insinuating that a restaurant gave me food poisoning, however, these are the facts:

The reviews said this was a busy place. I went on a Sunday evening and there was hardly anyone here.

The waitress was extremely pushy with her suggestions, steering me away from the dishes I had selected and towards specific sushi dishes.

Both sushi dishes arrived lukewarm and looked less than fresh. I would have left, but because of the reviews and Miraflores's reputation for fine dining, I decided to trust the restaurant (looking at the picture, I don't know what I was thinking).

I wished I hadn't. Not only did it cost me one of my six days in Lima, but I couldn't possibly eat sushi again in one of the cities in the world known for its sushi, even at a restaurant that is acting...

This is a tricky review. I had two plates of Sushi. Great sushi! Very nice restaurant. But I got to one piece of sushi that I felt something was wrong. I swallowed it and immediately felt something was wrong. I stopped eating and didn't want more to eat. I asked for the rest to go and left. I got really sick. Shitting water. Couldn't eat. Three days later I had to go the hospital and turned out I was infected by Entamoeba histolytica, a deadly parasite.. I got medicine from the hospital that worked out fine, but I struggled with stomach issues for 3 weeks. Maybe the restaurant was just as unlucky with that fish as me, but I got it served by them and I suffered the consequences. Wich sucked. Hope no one else ate that fish.
