Great place to stay. My 22-year old daughter and I stayed here over a period of 4 days. The hotel is conveniently located right behind Pardo Avenue, a busy avenue in Miraflores and is but a five minute walk to Miraflores Plaza center. At night, it is quiet so you will not be woken up from the traffic on Pardo Avenue. Additionally, it is but a few minutes away from the wonderful supermarket store, Vivienda. You can pick up some snacks there and the great Peruvian coffee and chocolate at a reasonable price compared to the souvenir stores. I have been coming back to Peru over the last 60 years as my parents are originally from Peru. This place has to be the cleanliest hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are not huge but comfortable with TV and lots of channels and free Wi-Fi. The rooms facing the street, 2 de mayo have a better connection than the rooms at the back of the hotel. While the rooms do not have a refrigerator you can bring your left overs from a restaurant in the refrigerators in the main lobby. Not to worry –no one is going to take them. The younger people working on the desk all speak English and there is an elderly man during the week that is very sweet. My daughter and I paid around US$ 75.00 per night during this time of the year and this included a light breakfast of bread, deli meats and cheese, eggs, coffee, fruit and teas. The woman in the dining room is very cordial.||||It is mostly locals who stay at the hotel and would recommend that you email beforehand as they are busy. There is a wonderful restaurent, less than a block from the hotel called...
Read moreHostal El Farolito is a relatively new budget hotel on a quite side street in Miraflores. It is in the heart of Miraflores, only about three blocks from Parque Kennedy and three blocks from Huaca Pucllana. Vivanda, a major local supermarket, is also about three blocks away. The staff is very helpful and a few of them speak excellent English. The rooms are a bit spartan as is to be expected at this price point...but they do have plenty of hot water and free wireless internet in the rooms. There is also a very meagre breakfast included in the rate as well. I was very satisfied with the value provided and would stay...
Read moreI found this hotel by accident while looking for an apartment for rent. It's off of Pardo Avenue one block so access to Kennedy Park, supermarkets, tour agencies, etc. are very convenient. It's just around the corner from the Double Tree at a third of the price plus the airport shuttle #5 stops in front of the Double Tree every half hour and will take you to the airport for 25 Soles ($8) compared to $20 in a taxi. The staff is wonderful. It's not fancy but it's clean, secure, and convenient. I paid 169 Soles a night or just over $54. For Miraflores district, that's...
