Not even kidding this was of the best meals I’ve had. I waited several hours to decide whether I actually felt the same way before posting this review. Everything I ordered was achieved levels of perfection I did know were attainable in the kitchen. Let’s get started…

Pisco Sour (my first one ever) was superb. Not sure what the frothy stuff was on the top but I loved it. I got the big one (it’s a double)- I recommend you do or you’ll just end up ordering another one when you taste it.

Appetizers: scallops I had were in the shell, topped with Parmesan cheese. They were as fresh as they were flavorful and that is saying an awful lot! So delicious!! Had them bring out a salad with it- also fantastic.

Entree: got the filet mignon with shrimp (surf and turf). Unbelievably good. Cooked precisely to the temperature I ordered and the chimichurri sauce with it was out of this world.

Service was amazing. Please tip them properly- they deserve it. All in all, seriously on my top 10 list of all time meals and believe me they had to bump off a really good previous experience somewhere very special to make the top 10. Dining with ocean views is nothing new for this Californian but when a top-notch meal pairs with that view it is something magical. I may go back this week. I deserve experiences like...

Ok. So this is an interesting place. It looks like it has a good view but generally when you get a table it’s really not a great view. Many tables are not in direct line of the sea. Still it’s an interesting place. One of the interesting things is that you cannot get a glass of wine. Only a bottle. Great unless you are here on your own. I ordered a steak. It was salty and tasty served on charcoal tray to keep it hot The rice with the meal was plain and dry unless you added mustard which was provided.?? Considering that I had a whole Bottle of wine to enjoy your would think there would be a bread basket I could order or a cheese plate. Something at least since I still had a half bottle of wine to enjoy. No. Not so much. There is corn. Ok. For a restaurant with such a location and only bottle of wine and no glasses of wine it seems that something else might be useful to add to the menu. The waiter suggested no in Spanish and I took him at his word. I have to suggest this as a group place. It is not wheel chair accessible. There are no toilet seats in the bathrooms but there are hand towels and soap etc. Another group was here enjoying a birthday celebration. I sang happy birthday for them from Canada and they were thrilled. I place is what you make of it. I...

We chose to visit this place based on the view and menu options, lots of seafood for us pesceterians. Can I say this place did NOT disappoint on any level. The views were gorgeous, the food was outstanding and the drinks were delicious. We began with the Javier ceviche which I assume is fresh daily from whatever seafood is delivered......have some, this was our first taste of ceviche here in Peru, but it was a great representation as to how Peru is the birth place of ceviche. Next we both opted for the whole fish, but different styles....... I had mine "to the east" which had an Asian flavor with calamari, chunks of fried fish, shrimp, zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, red peppers all with the whole fish as a serving vessel and yuca as well. He chose the "mancho" style which had more of a curry look with calamari, shrimp scallops, it too was delicious. Most of all it was the breath taking view of the Pacific ocean. We may have to visit again...

I was told that the picarones here were some of the best in Lima. So, I stopped in for lunch. It's confusing because there are two of the same restaurants across from one another. Both hostesses kept waving for my friend and I to come in. It felt like a tug-o-war. We opted to for the one that had a well known travel rating sign on the wall. I only came to try the picarones, but my friend decided to order lunch so we shared a plate of chicken saltado. Both were good, I don't think the picarones were any better than the ones I bought from Kennedy Parque, but they were good. The saltado was also good. You can eat upstairs on the roof top. The view of the ocean is beautiful.
