Sunshine Cafe — Restaurant in Ollantaytambo

First of all: it's damn delicious! I'm not just saying that. Homemade, hand-made - I can taste the love. The love of two people who operate this beautiful little restaurant in Ollantaytambo with their beautiful young children. The warmth of these kind people can also be tasted in the food. The falafel salad, the wraps, the ceviche are so delicious and everything is also available in vegan!

The view from the balcony is great for eating delicious food and simply watching the people arriving who all want to go to the ruins.

My favorite are simply the homemade and perfectly seasoned French fries 🤤.

So if you're in Ollantaytambo right now and want to eat delicious and healthy food, this is your place! I promise you you won't be disappointed.

This place is lovely! A great spot to hang out for awhile and read, work on your laptop, etc. I went multiple times during my stay in Ollantaytambo. The taco salads and mango salads were phenomenal, and it’s nice that you know they’re safe since they use filtered water! However the hummus snack is a bit suspect, certainly didn’t taste like any hummus I’ve had before ha. And don’t bother with the desserts in the case, the cookie I received was pretty stale. Unfortunately have to knock off a star due to the fact that their hours are completely unpredictable as well. Maybe it’s just because I went during rainy season/off season, not sure. I would have gone a few more times if...

I can't say enough good things about this Cafe! It's an absolute gem right in the center with breathtaking views of the surrounding agriculture. The pastries are always incredibly fresh, and the sandwiches are mouthwateringly delicious. Plus, they have an amazing selection of shakes and even beer for those looking for something extra special.
