This is the worst pizza, from a restaurant, I have eaten. I live in Europe and am from America. I travel abroad often. For me, pizza is a guilty pleasure/comfort food sometimes when traveling. So, I am used to all different styles and qualities of pizza. I ordered a "large" Diavolo pizza today. The "large" is quite small, what would be considered a personal pizza in the US. It cost 50 PEN, or almost $15. Terrible tourist gouging. The worst of it is the quality of the food itself. The bread was terrible, tasted like cardboard. There was almost no sauce. There was very little cheese. The pepperoni (or "salami" for Europeans) was subpar and there were no other "Diavolo" ingredients one would expect in Europe. Eating it was essentially like eating a frisbee. I have been to Italy many times, and been to many Italian pizzerias (so it's not like this is Italian style that I don't understand), and what they serve at this restaurant isn't pizza...it isn't even food. Now, I had a pizza in Nasca (not so far away) four days ago and it was tasty and savory, not "Napoli's best" but hey, it's Peru. So...with that comparison in mind, I have to say that Montecassino Pizzeria, with its "kitchen" and price gouging, has ruined my night. Worst...
Read moreExcellent pizza ! Fresh and exactly the right size I can only compare it with the pizza I ate years ago in Wall Street New York The price is right also for the quality of the ingredients. I don’t appreciate people saying because is “Peru” they won’t find good pizza That statement is an insult to Peruvians who have the best culinary dishes in the whole world and if they can cook Peruvian food they have the art to also make a good pizza , the owners are Italian and Peruvian so real good combination here Can’t wait to go to Paracas again and...
Read moreAmazing pizza. All fresh ingredients on the vegetarian one with zucchini, mushrooms, red peppers, black olives, cheese and tomato sauce. The best dough I've had in a really really long time. I'd recommend to always take the "grande" size. Medium is quite small and you'll regret it after the first bite, I'll promise. I even ate the crust, because it...
