We were part of the Peru Hop group and in the bus our tour guide asked us if we wanted to have lunch buffet at this place. We signed up to do it and it was just 49 soles per person.
When we got to the restaurant, we actually picked a plate for the buffet and soon realized we didn’t like the food included in the buffet, because we really wanted to try the ceviche. So, we told the waitress if it’s possible that we just buy off the menu since we really wanted to try the ceviche. She happily helped us to our seats, took our plates from the buffet (we actually already started to take some food from the buffet table) and gave us the a la carte menu.
We had the classic/traditional corvina ceviche(forgot to take a photo) and the panko ceviche(as pictured). Both had the “tiger’s milk” ceviche sauce which was so good. The dishes came with side sweet potatoes and corn. The food rating is 5 because of the ceviche and not the buffet since we didn’t try the buffet.
The view from this rooftop restaurant was really nice to see the port and all the boats. Teresa was our server and she was very kind about our confusion with the buffet. If it wasn’t for her, we would’ve gone to...
Read moreThis place was recommended by Peru Hop and we had the option to pre-order food while on our way from Lima to Ballestas Islands.
Restaurant is on the 4th floor and some of the tables have a good view of the ocean. Most tables do not.
We got two combos for 39 s/ each. The arroz con mariscos was a let down. It felt like the dish was made a while back and wasn't warm. The seafood in it was also pretty chewy by then. The Pescado a la Chorrillana we got was way better. Freshly prepared with onions and tomatoes and some spices. All ingredients tasted good. Comes with a decent serving of rice too.
We also got two small water bottles and they were 6.90 s/ each, which I thought was way too overpriced even for a restaurant. Get water from stores...
Read moreWe ended up eating here because we were able to pre-order the food on our day trip from Lima to Paracas to Huacachina. I assume it is similar for most tourists who eat here.
The food was good. I ordered the pollo saltodo with a pisco sour. It was the only pisco sour I have ever had, so I do not know if it was good or not - but I enjoyed it. It tasted strong, like limoncello. The pollo saltodo was quite good (and nice to see an alternative to beef since I prefer poultry or fish).
The employees were all very friendly and the service was excellent. Our server (Corahua) was wonderful! There was a great view from our small table on the patio, which overlooked the ocean. It was a beautiful sunny day and the wind...
