Arena Cafe — Restaurant in Paracas

Both the food and the service need significant improvement. The breakfast options are very basic. I ordered the American breakfast and specifically requested it without ham. What did I receive? Scrambled eggs with ham.

I asked the staff to remake it without ham. They returned with the same eggs, just with the ham partially removed. I asked again for a fresh dish. The second time, I was still served eggs with traces of ham left in. Only after asking a fourth time did I finally receive properly made scrambled eggs without ham.

I’m genuinely unsure whether this was due to carelessness, ignorance, or a lack of respect for dietary requests—but in any case, it’s unacceptable.

Went in the morning and there was a line of about 30 people cause some bus stops there before going to tour. People missing their buses and complaining all over. I took a capuccino double. Note that a Normal Western Capuccino is 2 shots of espresso. So i know here they dont really do that and i ordered 2 shots plus a carrot cake. She didnt charge me the cake but she charged me double for the coffee. Long story short it was a mess. The coffee isnt good at all and the service was bad. The staff at Arena cafe were absolutely outstanding. My partner and I came here 3 days in a row just because the waitress was so kind. The atmosphere was highly welcoming, the food was great and the waitress even made sure my partner's dietary restrictions (gluten free) were adhered to every step of the way. This was also the first coffee I have had and enjoyed in South America! I had the Nutella cappucino and it was amazing.
