Om Asían Restobar — Restaurant in Urubamba

While the food was okay, everything else was not. We waited for our food for over one hour. The restaurant is outside so we were freezing eventhough we were wearing several layers + winter jackets. There is a window where you can see into the kitchen, so while we were waiting, of course we were watching the cooks. The horror, when we noticed that one cook, which was sick, was wiping his nose with his hands and continued working without washing them, was coughing all over our food etc. Since we had to wait so long, most other restaurants were already closed and we were starving, so we still ate the food. The food itself was okay, but the thought of eating the cooks bacteria made...

The Acebichado and Om maki rolls were good and quite interesting. As a foreigner I find this fusion cuisine very unusual. The meat in the lomo saltado was very tasty and tender. I guess the place is good at cooking meat because the chicken in the noodles was also good. There was too much salt in the noodle sauce (also on the om maki shrimps) in my opinion. Really good food. I had have a poke bowl my friend a chaufa style stir fry with pineapple. As starter we had have veggie gyoza. All dishes was really tasty and the atmosphere there is cozy, too.
