The Gallery by Witchcraft: Enchanting Views & Service, Not-So-Enchanted Prices (4 Stars) The Gallery by Witchcraft conjured up a mix of delightful experiences during my recent visit. The staff were utterly charming and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, the cozy space came with a touch of crampedness, and the price tags might leave your wallet feeling a bit lighter than magical.

A Spellbinding Staff:

The staff at The Gallery were the true stars of the show. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, they ensured every step of the dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were always happy to answer questions and make recommendations, adding a personal touch that made the visit even more special.

A Cozy (and Slightly Cramped) Cauldron:

The Gallery itself boasts a charming and intimate ambiance. Exposed brick walls and warm lighting create a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed conversation with friends. However, the space can feel a bit cramped during peak hours, so be prepared for some close quarters.

A View to Bewitch:

But step outside onto the balcony, and you'll be treated to a truly enchanting view. Whether you're basking in the afternoon sun or enjoying the cool mountain air, the scenery adds a touch of magic to your dining experience.

Not-So-Enchanted Prices:

While the food tasted delicious – the flavors were well-balanced and the ingredients fresh – the prices might cast a bit of a spell on your budget. Be prepared for a higher-than-average price point compared to other cafes in the area.

The Final Verdict:

Despite the slightly cramped space and less-than-budget-friendly pricing, The Gallery by Witchcraft earns a solid 4-star rating. The exceptional staff, enchanting view, and delicious food make it a worthwhile visit. Just be prepared to spend a little more than usual.

Here are some things to consider:

If you're looking for a spacious cafe with affordable prices, The Gallery might not be your best choice. However, if you're looking for a charming and intimate setting with excellent service and delicious food, it's definitely worth a visit. Ask about outdoor seating to soak up the breathtaking view! Ultimately, The Gallery by Witchcraft offers a unique experience, blending excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and a touch of magic in the scenery. Whether it becomes your regular haunt or a special occasion destination, it's sure to leave a...

I had been hearing great things about this restaurant for a long time, so I was excited to finally experience it last night. Unfortunately, my first encounter was already disappointing.

When I arrived, I stood by the door, clearly visible to the staff, but no one greeted me or asked what I needed. I eventually walked in and approached a staff member to ask if there was seating available for three. She checked the availability and returned to the main entrance to announce that a table was available—but she addressed her comment to no one in particular. It was strange because I was the one who had asked, and I was standing right in front of her. She should have returned to me directly.

Once we were seated, I was pleased with the ambiance and music. It was a casual yet refined atmosphere, which I really appreciated. However, when the food arrived, I experienced another issue. The same staff member served our order—a family platter for three—but instead of placing the plate first for me since I didn’t had any plate in front of me, she simply placed the whole platter in front of me. I had to call her back and ask her to fix the presentation, as it wasn’t properly served. Her attitude was disappointing; she didn’t smile and seemed to be rushing through her tasks.

On a positive note, the presentation of the food was well-done. However, the taste was average—nothing special or memorable, just okay.

When it came time to pay, the same staff member handled the transaction. Again, there was no smile, no courtesy, and she seemed like she was just rushing through her job. As we left the restaurant, there were no thank-yous, no goodbyes, or any acknowledgment from the staff.

This restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, but the poor service really ruined the experience. It’s unfortunate that such a lovely setting is overshadowed by unprofessional and inattentive staff. To Ms. Jastine, I hope you can improve your approach to customer service...

The service and the atmosphere was good, but not the food.

Just for context: I am not a wealthy person, but an average foodie who loves to treat myself with good food whenever I have time and extra money to spend AND

If you are like me who wants value for money, The Gallery by Witchcraft is not the place for you. I came here with high expectations about the quality of the food because of the positive reviews, but went home super disappointed.

❌I ordered STEAK (Php 890) hoping that it would satisfy my posh meal cravings, but it did not. The steak wasn’t tender, chewy siya. The sauce did not pair well with the steak, and the mashed potato wasn’t even mashed well (pwede pala yun). The vegetable wasn’t even cooked properly so I wasn’t able to finish my whole meal. :( All I could taste was the bland flavors of each ingredient in one expensive plate after every bite.

❌We also ordered their TRUFFLE PASTA (Php 455), and it tasted like a machine from the future. 🥺 It had this industrial taste which was so weird. Not sure if this is how a proper truffle pasta should taste like, but if this is how wealthy people want their pasta, then I have no further comments/judgments.

❌Lastly, we ordered their PUDDING for dessert. Supposedly, it should have vanilla ice cream on top, but guess what, the ice cream had this texture and taste of a bland bingsu/shaved ice with milk.

We were kind of hoping that the dessert would serve as the redemption arc of this whole experience but The Gallery by Witchcraft never failed to disappoint.

On the bright side, their service was excellent, and the atmosphere was good; although not after you...

My partner, son and I arrived before lunchtime and advised the attending server that we’re waiting for my niece who’s running late. I think it was only about less than 10mins and we were already approached for our order but the gesture was a bit off, as if we’re only there to tambay. There were only 4 tables that time, it is pretty early for lunch and it was the day typhoon Carina reached Baguio City. There were more than 4 servers at the main dining and a couple in the bar but there were zero customers there. The service is really bad overall. I had to ask for a hot water multiple times which was served after 20mins. The beef stew I ordered was served to the table beside us who arrived way later than us. We requested for dining plates because we ordered a platter and it only came after I complained. It’s like a bunch of OJT kids without proper training. The food is just ok but pricey which I understand because the place is really posh. The pork ribs platter is average for me, I had way better ones from commercial restaurants. The beef stew was really good though. The peppered steak worth 900php is really tender but the sauce was underwhelming. Not a good choice for the strict Filipino tastebuds. Tbh I don’t think I can review the food fairly though because of the bad service. I am so disappointed that I only had 1 photo to contribute.

We were lining up at L’Atelier Du Grain when my dad decided to check out The Gallery by Witchcraft, and we decided to have dinner there. Unfortunately, the food and service were quite disappointing. The ambiance, however, was good and breathtaking. For the food, our starters included: - ”The Gallery” Caesar Salad: Their version of caesar dressing was so good! - Appetizer Sampler: Nothing special, and the portion was super small. - Mushroom Soup: It was okay. - Spanakopita (Spinach Dip): Good! Creamy and you can really taste the spinach. For the mains, we had: - Cajun Seafood: Quite salty for our liking. - Country Style Fried Chicken: The outside was crispy and tasteful, but the inside was dry. The gravy and mashed potatoes were tasty. - Sticky BBQ Glazed Chicken: It was okay, nothing special. - Lamb Kebab: Good, but the basmati rice portion was very small. - Pork Schnitzel: Good, fried perfectly, and the gravy was tasty. For the drinks, we had: - French Hot Chocolate: Good! - Virgin Mojito: Refreshing, very minty. - Devil Dog American Pilsner: So-so. For the service, quite disappointed as they were not really assistive. We ordered appetizers but they did not give us salad plates. The food here is hit and miss. It’s okay to try it once, but it didn’t make it to our must-try list when in Baguio.
