Casa Verde has long held its place as one of Cebu’s most beloved homegrown dining spots, and for good reason. Known for its generous portions, comforting American-style dishes, and student-friendly prices, it continues to draw crowds of locals and tourists alike.
If you’re looking for ribs or steak that won’t break the bank, Casa Verde is one of the best bets in town. Their signature Brian’s Ribs— fall-off-the-bone pork ribs glazed in a sweet, tangy barbecue sauce— is a standout, offering incredible value for its size and flavor. It’s the kind of dish that keeps you coming back, perfect for sharing or indulging solo if you’re really hungry.
Their steaks, while not fine-dining cuts, deliver more than expected for their price range. Cooked to your preference and served with classic sides like mashed potatoes and buttered vegetables, they scratch that meaty itch without straining your wallet. Even the burgers, pastas, and desserts are consistently crowd-pleasers.
The atmosphere is casual and cozy— unpretentious but warm, with a touch of vintage Americana charm. Whether you’re dining at the original Ramos branch or one of their mall-based outlets, the experience is consistently satisfying.
All in all, Casa Verde is a Cebu staple that proves you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy hearty, flavorful food. It hits the sweet spot between affordability, portion size, and taste— a rare combination that continues to make it a favorite among families, students,...
Read moreDitching lunch today, I was really hungry when we got to the restaurant. Ordered my usual favorite and was excited since it's been a while since the last time I was able to dine in at the restaurant. My Brian's Ribs arrived in less than 5 minutes and looking promising with its gIistening baste so I was surprised and amazed. Then we started eating and I right away grabbed and started digging but everywhere I get my fork on the slab of ribs it makes me feel like the whole thing is purely made of bones. Exerted more effort and force and was able to realize that what they've served me was just really overcooked and cold. They only have one waitress and although the whole restaurant was not as packed I did not bother complain because I was hoping that their Tricia ala Pobre would be good which by the way turned out to be more disappointing. It was so salty and fishy that even my dog did not eat it. This is not a rant. This is just me expressing a really bad experience as a...

Nachos- i can’t say if it was a tortilla chip or just deep fried flour. It was also coated in a yellow substance that looked but definitely didn’t taste like cheese.
Steak - although the price was not steak level, the “steak” was also not a steak. I don’t know what it was. Some sort of meat loaded with tenderizer.
Seafood (fish, shrimps, calamari) I couldn’t taste nor see any seafood at all. Put some sauce because it tastes garbage without sauce. It’s like deep fried batter. Really disgusting.
I came home still hungry. I’d rather not eat than eat their food. If you want to get a heart...
