La Tegola — Restaurant in Cebu City

Went there 6/19/24 with my wife to have a taste of their Risotto. Before going there I went over some reviews about how good their food is, how authentic and excellent their service is. So here is my take.

Ordered Risotto con Ossobuco, Seafood Risotto Pescatora., Zuppa al Pomodoro and Bruschetta al Pomodoro as our appetizer.

For Risotto Ossobuco serving iis a bit small, but the meat of the Usso Buco is "to die for". The flavor is awesome and the tenderness of the meat is superb.

For Risotto Pescatora in cream sauce. Serving is fair, but still small for a person having huge appetite like me. Flavor is good though squid is overcooked.

For Zuppa al Pomodoro.serving is great, tangy sweet cheezy tomato soup that fits best with my palate. The rich and flavourful soup you can devour forever and you still wanted more. Its the best tomato soup I ever tasted.

For Bruschetta al Pomodoro, serving is small 3 slices, each is topped with tomato.salad in olive oil, taste is fair.

For Mango Shake, it is deliciously refreshing. Made of pure ripe.mango fruit that you can taste the pureness of the fruit. Highly recommended.

One of the worst restaurants ive been in. What a huge disappointment especially in a place where theres lots of amazing restos! In Ayala! I am sick now for 2 days because of your food. they served me a watermelon shake with cockroach crawling on it!!! Although they changed it, because the server saw it, I still got sick so maybe there's something about the food preparation or maybe how they store their products back there cause of the cockroach. The staff doesn't seem to care about you, or the food they serve, all they do is gossip in the corner and they are all I hear inside the place. Food tastes weird too. The salad doesn't seem fresh. the cheese is weird. And the watermelon shake tastes like a little bit of milk with LOTS of ice. For your price range, it's not worth it. You're really expensive for your quality. Really had a bad experience here if I can rate it the worst, I will especially after getting sick here. I REGRET eating...

Hmm not an expert with italian cuisine But as a first timer in that restau, i think the food was not that bad at all. But i guess ive got to rate them second to La Nostra Pizzeria Napoletana (the best). La tegola's pizza are delish but not as that in la nostra. The dishes too were sumptous but theyre a little too sour for me maybe its the tomatoes or i wasnt just used to italian taste. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our experience there. Not really. When we went there in 2021 with my brother they have like signs for credit cards but they did not accep one because theyre machine was like not in good condition. Since it was in the middle of the pandemic, there were lesser number of people so it was just me and my brother on one table and another family on the other. But we were the first ones who went there so we saw that staff and crew lounging and i think the aircondition was not turned on at the time we got in. Overall, good...
