My goodnes, where do I even begin? This was my second trip to the Philippines from the United States to see my fiancee once again. We arrived at the hotel midnight, we were trying to check in, but they didn't let us check in early so we had to go to a different hotel just for one night because MJ didn't wanna us to book in until 2:00pm. So we eventually checked in at the scheduled time, and boy it was an underwhelming experience for a hotel. The interior was drab, colorless, lifeless. My fiancee said it looked like a funeral home. The hallways were dark, the dining room was also dark. The room itself was fine until I saw roaches, ants, and these tiny spiders that kept biting me and my partner. The staff seemed miserable, and would only clean up our room if we asked. Parklane hotel, they would do it everyday without complaining. Also some of the TV channels stopped working when they were working at first, we told staff about it and they did nothing to fix the problem, they said it was a "signal issue" where the dining room TV had the channels working perfectly, At The breakfast food was alright, but the fried chicken at dinner was underdone and undercooked. Never again will I book this hotel when I visit my fiancee again next year. She deserved a better experience. It just shows you that being cheap is not always worth it. There was a reason it was easy to book on Agoda and the price is low. If anything Filipino citizens or foreign need a hotel to stay in the Philippines for a day or two, do not choose MJ Hotel and Suites. On my next trip to the Philippines to see my fiancee, I will book Parklane hotel again, that place has quality. Nothing against the staff at MJ, but I think it needs new management. So goodbye MJ Hotel and Suites, you...
Read moreThis was the worst hotel ever I have stayed at. The check in and check out took hours to do. Your guest are surveyed as if this place is some sort of prison. The food was lousy. The front desk very rude and lack any skills in customer service. If the hotel not like you they fabricate lies to have you leave. If that not work.. No problem they will cut off your electricity to the room. They even check your trash to see if you have cigarettes butts or what ever they deem unfit. If you use there towel say wipe the floor something you spilled.. You will be charge the cost of a new towel. This place cators to Japanese.. Chinese and natives with money. There super disrespectful and rude. All in all it was a 3 day nightmare from hell. Never in my life was I made to feel as if I was not even a human being. If you want high price garbage and disrespect by all means go there.. This place do not even rate a star.. Garbage...This place is a scavenger hotel.. Looking through you garbage like common low life trash people. Probably looking to steal your identity and put a cigarette butt inside so they can charge you penalty fee.. This place is a hell.. I pray God close it and it get infested...
Read moreRooms are good for its price. The service is wonderful, they helped assist my grandparents up and down the floors. The staff are amazing in their own ways and will go above and beyond to assist their guests. There's free water near the elevators too.
Breakfast is okay, usually Filipino dishes like chicken and pork adobo, eggs, cereal, pancakes. For beverages during breakfast choices include coffee, juice, water and milk.
Parking wise, there are 3 regular car slots in the front along with a disabled parking spot that sometimes gets parked by a motorcycle or 2. Be ready to move them slowly if ever you have a PWD like in my case an 89 y.o grandfather who enjoys riding the wheelchair.
Location wise: if you like Taiwanese hot pot and ice cream, you can walk a bit and find the Taiwanese Shabu-Shabu and scoop nearby. You can also go drinking at Troy's right next door.
If you have problems with your car, there's a shop nearby that can assist you and they also offer 24/7 road side assistance at Linked Auto...
