Title: Nice ambience but the dishes are not authentic...
Nice ambience like typical Mediterranean style.. white walls with the combination of blue color in furnish and wood chairs Smiling staff Fast serving Good portions I had the chicken gyros and the baba ganoush. The only good thing was the bread, it was more arabic style bread. I write this review especially because I tested a lot of Greek restaurants in Germany, Türkiye and Bali.
The chicken gyros especially the chicken parts had no taste, no spice, no herbs very disappointing. Could the famous simple Greek yogurt sauce (tzatziki) rescue the tasteless chicken situation? Unhappily not. It was garlic inside but not enough also the yogurt taste was sour, so very bad not worthy to call it Greek style yogurt. But I must eat everything because I payed a lot of money for the dishes it's not cheap! It was not satisfying I refused to buy a dessert because the baba ganoush was also very disappointing (Gyros) Less chicken instead of too much vegetables and... what are the fries doing in there? I see only fries in cheap fast food Kebab restaurants in Turkey or in Arabic fast food restaurants. (Baba Ganoush) is usually a Persian dish but should I rate it better because it's not their profession as a Greek restaurant? Definitely not. The baba ganoush was horrible. What was the problem here? Also a unpleasant sour taste and not the smoked taste because of the eggplants. Usually baba ganoush is a dish where you put eggplants in barbecue so that it become the smoked taste.
It need over 10 minutes to give my order and only after I called the waitress. This is a no go cause I was the only new guest there... Also for a reasonable Restaurant it is important to ask how the food was right? The price was too high for the quality of food The dishes like Gyros or Kapsalon you see in some photos here in Google maps is currently not listed in the menue. I asked why, they said they serve only if upon request :) What is this for a reason? You don't want make money? Very funny, but this quality I wouldn't put and serve anymore it make no sense the taste is not worth the money. I saw Souvlaki in the menue 3 skewers for over 800php, oh my god crazy it's not wagyu. For the food I wouldn't come again.

Everything in this restaurant nears perfection: the interior, the service, the food.
In order to beat rush hour we arrived before 4:00 to a meticulously decorated restaurant, tricked out in all manners of blue, a common colour for Greece. That attention to detail is always a good sign. We were greeted by a friendly server who continued to dote on us throughout the meal with elegance and grace.
We started with two popular appetizers, a rolled Spanakopita (249 PHP), with spinach and feta in Phyllo (Filo) pastry with a garlic sauce and a trio of sauces (249) (Hummus, Roasted Bell Peppers, and Tzatziki) garnished with crispy Tortilla flat breads. Served with a very pleasant cool white Chardonnay wine (160 PHP per glass).
We ran low on the crispy bread, so we ordered some Pita (45 PHP). Now, in my city of Ottawa Canada, all of the most of the Mediterranean-inspired restaurants receive their Pita from a centralized bakery, so that when you order more, they take one or two more breads from a plastic bag, swack it with a knife into quarters and bring it to the table within seconds.
But our order here must have taken five or more minutes. Why? Because the bread they served was baked fresh for us! Such a treat.
Our Horiatiki (Farmers) (275 PHP) salad arrived next. We ordered the small to share, and that was a good call: two generous portions. It’s like their Mediterranean salad but with more tasty morsels, especially the black olives. A pleasant refreshing break before the mains.
My wife ordered the Salmon with spinach and feta (649 PHP), which came as an emulsion drizzled over the Salmon. She was asked how she wanted the Salmon to be cooked (medium), always a good sign of servers and kitchen working together to ensure the best for what they prepare and serve. My wife loved her Salmon.
I ordered the Moussaka (295) which was my main reason for coming here. My goodness! Too many offerings of this in other restaurants flood the meal with too much gloopy cheese sauce, but this Moussaka was the perfect blend of cheese on top, potatoes at the bottom, and eggplant and spiced meat (lamb?) in between. Perfection!
We rounded our meal with a single desert of Panacotta (165), a delicately honey-lemon flavoured pudding.

Read moreI recently had dinner at My Greek Taverna Banilad, and I have to say—it’s a must-visit if you love Mediterranean flavors!
Ambiance & Space – The place is small and cozy, with only 10 tables, which makes it feel intimate and personal. It’s perfect for a casual meal with friends, a date night, or even a solo foodie adventure. The setup is simple but charming, giving off that laid-back taverna vibe.
Food & Flavor – Everything tasted fresh and authentic! I tried the Chicken Gyros, which was perfectly seasoned and wrapped in soft, warm pita. We also ordered the Salmon Chermoula, and it was such a good balance of healthy and flavorful—the hummus and chickpea salad really tied it all together. If you're into grilled meats, the Beef Skewers were juicy and tender, and they go so well with their homemade tzatziki!
Overall Experience – If you're looking for a great spot for Greek food in Cebu, this is it! The flavors feel authentic, the portions are satisfying, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Just a heads-up—since the place is small, reservations are highly recommended to avoid waiting...
