I visited this place last week with my friend, and overall, it was a decent experience. The ambiance was really nice, perfect for chilling and just relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a slow afternoon, have a chat with friends, or even get some work done if you need a cozy spot.
For my order, I got a smoothie bowl. The presentation was nice, and the portion was just right. However, the mango was quite sour, which threw off the balance of the flavors a bit. It was still good, but I was expecting a sweeter taste to complement the rest of the bowl.
As for the service, there were a few hiccups. When my food was served, there were no utensils, so I had to ask for them separately. It’s a small thing, but it would have been better if everything was provided right away. Also, my order was initially served to the wrong table because the staff seemed to forget where it was supposed to go. Mistakes happen, but these little details could be improved to make the experience smoother for customers.
Overall, it was an okay visit. I wouldn’t say it was amazing, but it wasn’t bad either. I’d still go back to try other items on the menu and see if they have better options. Hopefully, next time, the service will be a bit...
Read moreBugtaw offers a super relaxed, bohemian, and laid-back vibe with a fantastic ambiance. The decor features lots of wood and nature-inspired elements, creating a cozy atmosphere. While the music is a bit loud, the playlist is chill and fits the vibe perfectly.
We tried the Precolonial Adobo, Chicken Garlic Pasta, and Salted Caramel Latte. The adobo was crispy and delicious, though it could use a bit more seasoning. The pasta was slightly too salty, but the flavors balanced well when paired with the adobo. The Salted Caramel Latte was spot on—not too sweet, with a great flavor. A thoughtful touch was the glass straw.
One thing to note is that several menu items, like cold-pressed juices, specialty coffee, and the Carajay dish, weren’t available during our visit, but we’ll definitely return to try them.
Overall, Bugtaw is a must-visit in Dumaguete for its unique vibe, good food, and great coffee....
