I have to say that my partner and I were a little hesitant to book this hotel because it is quite costly. The price is almost the same as other 4-star accommodations in big cities. Nonetheless, we still booked it because we had to, as it is the venue for our event, and that is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.
Now, I would like to share my personal opinion about the hotel:
1.) Considering the price (we booked the premier room), the room is slightly smaller than other hotels we have stayed at with the same price range. The design is nothing unusual but well-constructed and clean. There were plenty of cabinets or storage spaces, which somewhat compensated for the lack of space, and we appreciate that.
2.) The bed and pillows are to die for. I can tell that they are of high quality and quite expensive. They are very comfortable to sleep on, allowing you to truly relax.
3.) We stayed in the second floor, and there were some technical issues with the internet. During our first night, we were unable to access it. Fortunately, during our second night, we were able to connect.
4.) The elevator is quite slow, and it would be more convenient to use the stairs. Luckily, since we were on the second floor, using the stairs was a better option for us. Additionally, during the day, the glass elevator tends to become hot inside.
5.) I would like to emphasize the importance of protecting Joselito at all costs. He is an attentive, caring, and kind staff member who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort during our stay. In general, the staff is top-tier; they are very kind, well-trained, and well-mannered.
6.) I only wish that welcome drinks and cold towels could be offered to all guests, not just those staying in the most expensive rooms. Even if we only had the premier room, it wouldn't significantly impact the hotel's finances to extend this gesture to us as well.
7.) Inside the room is a tablet that they have provided for our use. It is a great addition to the room's features. HOWEVER, let's remember that during our first night, we didn't have internet access. Consequently, we couldn't contact the lobby using the provided tablet. Therefore, I suggest adding a telephone inside the room as a backup option in case the tablets don't work. We had to rely on our personal cellphones to contact the lobby.
Overall, it was a great experience, but the accommodation seemed a bit expensive...

PROS:
Great service. The staff are accommodating and friendly.
Airport pick-up and drop off.
Drop-off service anywhere within Dumaguete City.
Pool looks great.
Good selection of drinks from The Pawnshop. The bartender was even nice enough to open the bar early for me since I wasn’t aware that they open at 4pm and I went there at 2pm.
Location is good, quiet.
CONS:
During our stay, the internet went out of service for 2 nights so we cannot use the tablet provided in the room (in lieu of a phone) for room service or any inquiry we had.
Cellular and data signal (for Smart) is not that great inside the rooms.
Rooms are not soundproof. During our stay a family with a baby shares our floor and every night and in the wee hours of the morning the baby will cry and the worst thing is the family will open their doors to share the crying sound in the entire floor. They will also walk the hallway to placate the baby and they will play with a squeaky toy. And since the wifi is down, we were not call the front desk to address this matter and we certainly did not want to get out of the room to confront the insensitive guests.
Pool is not heated.
No phone inside the room. While a tablet is a nice touch, a phone or would have been nice to have inside the room in cases when the wifi is down.
Elevator is slow. It’s faster to go up and down the stairs.
Price-wise, this hotel is a bit on the expensive side. We have stayed at 4-star and 5-star hotels with the same price-range.
Overall, we had a nice stay. It would have been great had there been soundproofing and phone in the room but the staff service made up for this. Would definitely...
