Good value Filipino food in NorthPoint, Dumaguete.

Family was feeling hungry and so we tried Dagsa-an in North Point, Dumaguete.

Menu wasn't very extensive, and we chose the Pinoy platter P1199, Native Halang-halang P280 and Chop suey P230. Which is a bargain meal for 4 people.

The service was quick compared with other Filipino restaurants, which was good, and we were all happy with the dishes.... though perhaps the "native halang-halang" should only be "native halang" for insufficient chili heat.

The restaurant's dining area is divided into 2 parts, and we were in the air-conditioned dining area.... getting the attention of waiting staff was a bit difficult because of the layout. No wifi, and limited menu, but otherwise there are no complaints and we would...

The food and place was great, but the staff were kinda dishonest. They let me pick from their chiller for the fresh seafood. I ordered a 200g squid to be grilled and 300g of shrimp to be tempura (~16 pcs). *Note you pay by the gram.

When our order came, I was perplexed why my single 200g squid turned into 2 smaller ones. The one that I ordered had atleast 7" length of its mantle (head), so maybe turned 5" when grilled. The squid that came to us was a pair of 3-inch ones.

Now for the shrimp.

I Ordered atleast 16 pcs and only 14 came. It ain't to much, but those tactics of theirs add up. Imagine if they do that to 20 customers. I hope this gets to their management. Been dining there often, yet that was the first time we...

This is located in a food park so there's lots of options. We ended up choosing this place because it has al fresco seating and we expected a breeze from the sea but it was nt windy that night.

I realized this is a family restaurant and the food is good for sharing. It's just 2 of us so we got pancit canton and the grilled pork chops rice meal. The pancit canton was salty for our taste. The grilled porkchops was good. They were sold out of any fruit shakes and that was disappointing as I was excited to have mango shake.

Our server was friendly and the security guy was also nice and was very concerned we will get wet when it rained and he immediately offered for us to move to a...
