I recently had the pleasure of celebrating Father's Day at Si, Señor, and it turned out to be the perfect way to honor the occasion. The exceptional quality of the food, combined with the warm and inviting atmosphere, made it an unforgettable experience.
During our lunch, the standout dish was undoubtedly the beef brisket. Its tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture and perfectly balanced flavors left us in awe. Each bite was a delightful revelation, accompanied by delicious sides and sauces that enhanced the overall experience.

I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Si, Señor, where I can't wait to try their steak. If it's anything like the exceptional beef brisket we had, I'm certain it will be a culinary delight.

Update (ate here again last August 25, 2023)
I was disappointed with the ribeye steak last night.
Despite ordering it medium rare, the meat turned out chewy and tougher than expected. The cooking wasn't consistent either, as some parts were rare instead of medium rare. Given its price, I found the experience quite underwhelming.
Additionally, the steak seemed to be under-seasoned, adding to the letdown.

Read moreKinda so so. Good points, nice ambience, quite a varied menu. Some of the dishes were quite good. Bad points, only 6pm on Saturday and already 2 of our orders weren't available, tapas board and brisket. Had to send back the tortilla, still runny in the middle. Despite writing down our order, reading it back and reconfirming it, the Putanesca never arrived and had to be cancelled. Paella was expensive P800 and not so good, quite oily, didn't find any chicken, used some cheap local shells, instead of mussels, color of the rice was sort of black, though this was Mixta not the one with squid ink, should be yellow, if using imported saffron. Much better in Why Not? for P395 (or used to be) and more of it. My wife ordered red house wine, but got the one for P280/glass, though there was one for P180. The waiter said "that's our house wine", strange. Also there appears to be no access for our friends or relations with disabilities. So overall disappointing. Has potential, but needs to be...

We dined here as a group of 10 and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The standout dishes really impressed us, especially the Ensalada de la Casa Si Señor— their house salad with caramelized walnuts and balsamic dressing was a beautifully balanced mix of sweet, tangy, and fresh.
We ordered two paellas: the Paella Mixta and the Paella Tuétano. While both were good, the Tuétano definitely stole the show. The socarrat(crispy bottom layer of the rice) was the highlight — packed with bold, beefy umami flavor. Pro tip: let your companions enjoy the top layer, then dig into the crispy bottom for the real magic.
Another surprise hit was the jamón wrap — a delicious balance of salty and creamy that caught everyone’s attention.
Highly recommend ordering ahead, especially for the paellas, so they can be perfectly timed and ready when you arrive. Si Señor! brings Spanish flair to Dumaguete — we’ll...
