Title: Burgers Dillas and Nutella banana crepe. Was it yummy?

o To be honest i wasnt in the Restaurant, i ordered the food via grabfood! 😮😋

Burger Dillas: I didnt expected that much because the food was also messy from the trip but the taste surprised me. 😋👍 If its true they used the Gabbys burger patty for the meat and it was really yummy. 🍔🤤💯 They dont save ingredients and everything seems fresh. All in all it was a surprising different Quessadilla style dish. I will definitely taste it someday in the restaurant again. 💯👍🤤

Nutella banana crepe: It was a good big portion. 🍌😋👍 The crepes was tasty and it was lots of real Nutella and banana inside. Clear recommendation from me. I would definitely buy again. 💯😋🍌

So I came solo to Gabby’s for dinner and boy was I disappointed. I read a recent review here about poor service - i’ll tell you much worse. I went in, got seated, after a bit of confusion because 3 of the servers stood there and looked at me while I entered without saying a word - either they dont speak English/Tagalog or they dont know how to read simple cues that when someone walks in a restaurant - it is obviously because they are there to dine.

Anyway, if that was the biggest fault its forgivable - but it was just the start. I sat and perused the menu. It was easy enough and laid the menu down signalling im ready to order. 5 minutes came and went no one approached me - it was not busy with maybe 5 other tables. I looked up and glanced multiple times to the servers thinking they understood im ready. 10 minutes came by and then 15 and then 20. At this point i decided to walk out of this restaurant that was so clearly more style than substance. I learned as I was about to leave that the group of diners in a booth in front of me were actually WORKERS there with their work uniforms - they knew full well i had not been served because more than a few times they looked and glanced my way!

On my way out i see a server sitting down behind the bar on her phone, two other guys (one curly long haired) watching the tv. They didnt even notice I walked out. What an abysmal establishment. Maybe people go because they are one of the oldest here but they are lost in time. There are a lot of other better restaurants now in the area.

Anyway i left and decided to spend my money instead at Salt & Pepper just around the corner where I was served promptly. I had an amazing meal that i went back for the second time. Prices were reflective of the area and service...

I organised a surprise birthday lunch for my Mum at The Oasis located in Florentina Homes which was catered by their in-house restaurant Gabby's Bistro.

The set up in the Oasis Ballroom was perfect for our guests and love how the pool is just outside so the kids could also have a swim for a small fee of P50 each.

The ballroom was air-conditioned and the size was perfect for our group of 35 people. It could comfortably fit up to 50 people. The decor has a tropical feel to it thanks to the mural and there was even a sound machine and free wifi to connect your device to and play music.

Irish at the bistro was super friendly and very accommodating with my requests in regards to the catering.

We chose the mid range buffet package which included a soup, vegetable or salad dish, 3 main dishes, a pasta dish, dessert which we opted for fruit platters and a round of soft drink. We were able to bring our own juices plus we set up a dessert table with no additional charge and we bought beers from the bistro. The food was good and there was so much of it left over that we took it home for dinner! We also added sliders for the kids which were also enjoyed by the adults!

We had a great afternoon celebrating my Mum's birthday. The event was very reasonably priced for what's included and we had the venue for 6hrs.
