Jo's is just one of those Dumaguete staples, and indeed the restaurant started in Duma then branched out to other places. The food is affordable and esp the chicken inato here is great. I always enjoy comin here and in fact this is one of my partners favorite places.
However, as with other Duma staples, be ready to experience long wait times and some difficulty with getting noticed by waiters, esp if there a lot of patrons, which there usually are. It is best to order your food downstairs at the counter first instead of waiting for someone to take your order at your table, unless you want to wait for a while.

Read moreI love their Chicken Inato, it's one of my favorite restaurants who prepare this dish. We had pancit, stuffed squid, lumpiang shanghai and rice. Just Filipino favorites that everyone love. My mouth is watering while writing this because nothing beats a home-style cooking enjoyed with the family. I love the ambiance of this place beside the sea. They have other branches all over Dumaguete so you won't be able to miss to visit and eat at their restaurant whenever you're in Dumaguete. My family and I specifically enjoy the one in Sibulan beside the sea. It's an open air dining, with the fresh breeze of the sea, more spacious and more parking spots. It's a bit far from the city but it's always worth it to visit here for Lunch or Dinner. Pay them a visit the next time you are in...
Read moreMy childhood favorite - their chicken inato that never disappoints me. Downside is it will make you frustrating if you eat around usual lunch or dinner time due to overcrowded customers. I would suggest you should eat around early or late lunch (11am- or 1:30pm+), and early dinner time (6pm or before). If you do eat at the typical meal time, then get ready to take the test of your patience. Probably at this time, the staff would usually ignore you if you ask for something (unless you look like a rich old businessman or foreigner). If you can see the faces of the staff, they look like something like they just want to end their day early. This happens to me multiple times, usually I get disappointed of...
