We dined here on a Saturday night, the treehouse was quite busy so we chose a table indoor. It was good. The waiters served us right away. There were a few items that we had to change as it was not available. Here’s the list of w we ended up ordering 1. Baked Scallops - A good choice of appetizer. It was enough for 5 of us. 2. Puso Salad - Typical Puso Salad 3. Dumaguete Express - We were curious to what this was. I think they can shave the coconut instead of cutting them to give a better texture and maybe make it spicier than it is. 4. Grilled Red Snapper- We initially ordered Grilled Blue Marlin but it was not available. This was not worth it as it was served dry. 1 fish cost us ₱900. 5. Tinola Tangigue - This was our favorite. I will definitely comeback for this. 6. Gambas a la Lab-as - Nothing Special on this dish. Just a simple deep-fried shrimp in panko crumbs. 7. Fresh Buko Juice - Yet another disappointment. The buko was too young so the juice was a bit sour and not sweet. There was no buko meat as well. We still enjoyed our time here and the ambiance was good. Tips for ordering menu items that they sell per grams, always ask for minimum gram per order. Our server told us that the minimum for blue marlin and red snapper was 500g.

Saturday evening, Hayahay was too busy and ended up next door in Lab-as.... Lucky discovery because I really liked the food and the restaurant had air-conditioning. Service wasn't very attentive, but they did have these "Service" button near the table. Felt like a teacher's pet or an airplane passenger calling a flight attendant in the night for using it though. The dining room wasn't that busy, so not sure why staff was huddled up in a corner. The food was delicious and better than other Filipino restaurants in the city. Though the Macho Nachos (which had different prices on different menus) were a bit salty. The food was plentiful and ended up with leftovers. Meal for two with soft drinks/ shakes was just over P1000 with service included in the total. We'll definitely return to try other dishes.

We were in Dumaguete for a short visit and decided to try this restaurant after walking around in the area. We ordered their Dumaguete express and oh my what a treat! The squid was cooked to perfection, not rubbery like some places make them. If you like seafood in coconut milk, I would absolutely recommend this dish. The pork bits were nice and crispy. I believe there is an option to replace that with crispy shrimp instead. The mamsa was also very tasty (talakitok fish in Tagalog). The food does take a while to come out so try to come when you're not hangry.
