The place looks warm and feels cozy but the staff seems unapproachable.
These are my observations during our dining experience:
*No welcome greetings from the staff, but they greeted the person who arrived a few several minutes after we did, and got me thinking that it was probably the owner of the place.
*I find it weird to be asked if we were hotel guests even though we came straight from the entrance.
*I am not sure of how the service works here but for a price point of 350php+ a meal, and I couldn't even ask the server which rice are available and instead I felt embarrassed as I just got shrugged off with the a straight answer of "It's on the menu" in Bisaya. The tone is not even warm when given the answer and to me, it sounded like the purpose of the answer is to embarrass someone. I think I would have a better approach if ever I was asked the same question.
*The food is okay.
*We came in feeling ignored, and so we walked out feeling ignored. Maybe the staff are just selecting which people to offer their...
Read moreVisited Piapi Deli for the first time and gave their Chicken Caesar Club a try. The place itself has a really comfortable vibeâspacious, well-designed seating thatâs both pleasing to the eye and relaxing to sink into. The dish was a hit, seasoned perfectly and tasted as fresh as it gets, though I wouldn't mind if they sliced it neatly in half for easier eating. Itâs a tiny thing, really, and doesnât take away from the enjoyment.
The pricing is on par with the ambianceâdefinitely feels like youâre paying for the experience as well. A heads-up, they add a service charge. Service-wise, it was a busy night and it took a bit of effort to flag down our waiter, so a dash of patience might be your dining companion.
But honestly, this is a place thatâs tailor-made for unwinding, like for a date night or a long catch-up with friends, taking it slow is part of the charm. Not your quick bite kind of place, but sometimes, thatâs exactly...

They used to be generous with their sides, but now the amount has decreased drastically. The chowder and potato bacon soup arenât as creamy as they used to be anymore, and during my last delivery order my potato bacon soup was even a bit bland. They also got rid of the Godmother sandwich which, in my opinion, was one of the best sandwiches in their menu. This + the hiked up prices are the reason I donât order from them as often anymore.
Ps: I tried their new pastrami sandwich which was recommended to me by the server in lieu of the Godmother, and even with the au jus it was dry and lacked flavor. Their Hot Italian never...
