Visited Piapi Deli for the first time and gave their Chicken Caesar Club a try. The place itself has a really comfortable vibe—spacious, well-designed seating that’s both pleasing to the eye and relaxing to sink into. The dish was a hit, seasoned perfectly and tasted as fresh as it gets, though I wouldn't mind if they sliced it neatly in half for easier eating. It’s a tiny thing, really, and doesn’t take away from the enjoyment. The pricing is on par with the ambiance—definitely feels like you’re paying for the experience as well. A heads-up, they add a service charge. Service-wise, it was a busy night and it took a bit of effort to flag down our waiter, so a dash of patience might be your dining companion. But honestly, this is a place that’s tailor-made for unwinding, like for a date night or a long catch-up with friends, taking it slow is part of the charm. Not your quick bite kind of place, but sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.

If you are on sandwiches and other bites like salads you might come here. Fairly recent restaurant in Hotel Dumaguete in a nice surrounding. The decor is good modern taste and quite original. However be prepared to have a slow service or to remind the waiters that you are there to eat... Prices are high, a café latte is 240 pesos! In terms of composition of the sandwuches and salads there is much to say: trying to be creative is not a guarantee of good and delicious taste... My chicken sandwich in Ciabatta bread was hardly to be at the level of the price: the Ciabatta was not a real one and the chicken hard difficult to bite...

The ambiance and design of the resto is excellent as you can see in the photos. Its at the high end price point. So you would expect great service. But honest review thats not the case in my experience. The service needs improvement to keep w the brand. The staff and sup are not warm, doesn’t smile or greet, doesn’t automatically refill glass of water, comfort room doesn’t smell nice. I also wonder why they decline to bring gcash QR code to the table and they have to ask customers to stand and scan at the cashier. Nevertheless the food is good especially their soup. But I’m not motivated to keep coming back.

The place looks warm and feels cozy but the staff seems unapproachable.

These are my observations during our dining experience:

*No welcome greetings from the staff, but they greeted the person who arrived a few several minutes after we did, and got me thinking that it was probably the owner of the place.

*I find it weird to be asked if we were hotel guests even though we came straight from the entrance.

*I am not sure of how the service works here but for a price point of 350php+ a meal, and I couldn't even ask the server which rice are available and instead I felt embarrassed as I just got shrugged off with the a straight answer of "It's on the menu" in Bisaya. The tone is not even warm when given the answer and to me, it sounded like the purpose of the answer is to embarrass someone. I think I would have a better approach if ever I was asked the same question.

*The food is okay.

*We came in feeling ignored, and so we walked out feeling ignored. Maybe the staff are just selecting which people to offer their...

Their sandwiches are great, but I feel like the quality has gone down a notch since they first opened. They used to be generous with their sides, but now the amount has decreased drastically. The chowder and potato bacon soup aren’t as creamy as they used to be anymore, and during my last delivery order my potato bacon soup was even a bit bland. They also got rid of the Godmother sandwich which, in my opinion, was one of the best sandwiches in their menu. This + the hiked up prices are the reason I don’t order from them as often anymore.

Ps: I tried their new pastrami sandwich which was recommended to me by the server in lieu of the Godmother, and even with the au jus it was dry and lacked flavor. Their Hot Italian never...
