Title: My 3rd Indian restaurant testing in Dumaguete: was it successful?
The owner is very nice and give menu suggestions πππ Serving time was quick π―β¨ Portion was good size ππ Good presentation of the product π€©π―β¨ Price, quality to quantity is good π―ππ Comfy and clean furnishing πβ¨π Upholstered seats avaliable πΊ Atmosphere is silent if there are not loud acting guests β¨
Butter chicken: The portion was okay for the price; the taste was awesome. There were some big boneless chicken pieces inside. ππ€€ The herbs and spices gave a yummy flavor, and it was not too hot spicy. Also, the typical Indian bread was tasty. π―π
The rest room does not reflect the restaurant π½π£π

My experience was Overall really good. I had a group table of 4 at first. We were greeted by the lovely owners. She gave us a backstory of how everything started for her and her husband whos from South india himself, she also elaborated how she grows her own herbs and receives products (ingredients) Locally and internationally, and she also mentioned how her ingredients does not carry any preservatives and tries to always use organic. Personally me and my mom Love indian food especially south indian. My uncle whos from abroad also before moving back to philippines he has been craving for a really decent indian restaurant. But being in a small town; that has not yet adapted to different cultural foods its quite tough to find that around the vicinity. My family REALLY loves food and we love to try everything. and visiting philippines is really hard to find the real one that really fits our taste. Being in dumaguete and hearing that there are some lovely restaurants around including indian. We did not hesitate to go for a visit. Sadly upon arrival- we were seated but they didnt have much available on the menu but on our last day in dumaguete we visited again and WOOOW my goodness. My family ordered a lot of food. and we were easily amazed. The flavour tasted fresh, very much comparable to international flavour. Just a little heads up about the chicken, it was quite dry, but overall the flavours and taste were quite good. The size was great, i seriously wanted to eat more but i had no where else to store it i my stomach. It was quite fun to eat and great experience. My uncle even wanted to ship the ingredients to our little town and he was ready in any cost; thats how good it was for him. Overall impressive for Dumaguete. We loved it. Hope to see...
Β Β Β Read moreNot sure how this place achieved 4 stars - the Veg Thali at P399 was three tiny scoops of vegetable with 2 roti and rice - being the most expensive veg dish of all time. I sent it back, after they refused to increase the portion size, refusing to eat it or pay for it - I resent being charged P100 per small tablespoon sized serve of vegetable floating in giant bowls - even special dishes containing imported meat donβt cost that much at other restaurants in Dumaguete!
The Dahl was just whole, barely cooked chickpeas floating in a light curry sauce - not sure how that passes for Dahl (havenβt you heard of a blender???) but at P220 it at least fed 2 of us - but far from authentic and overpriced.
The highlight was the mango lasi which was chilled and delicious.
I wonβt be back, I hate Restraunts that dish up tiny portions, poorly prepared food, with sky high prices - too many great carinderia around to waste my money on...
