We always dine here when we go to IAO. I asked the waitress if I could borrow the pitcher for water since its self service but they didnt allow it. The food is great but the service is a no-no. Some employees should be trained properly. The fact na pinoy kami and sila. Such a disappointment to dine.
Follow up review: the girl came up to us and said that its their policy to charge us corkage fee for bringing outside food well in fact na wala naman silang same dish on their menu. It only applies pag may same dish sa resto and its not stated on their menu. Also as for the pitcher, they cannot allow to provide a pitcher for water as it was self service and needed for in house guests, well we wouldnt stay there the whole day to hold the pitcher, dining would only take an hour only and ndi kami mapaheram. The so-called manager should have been approachable and nice but she just gave us a strong approach with anger and saying lots of example which doesnt align with other policies as she mentioned that the policy is same with everywhere, which is not. Not a very good dining exp, really! I wouldnt recommend this to my friends anymore!...
Read moreEDIT: Unable to reply to owners comment for some reason but we visited tuesday 1st aug 6.30 to 8.20pm. Promising but failed to deliver. First we arrived at the main undercover seating area where staff quite clearly didn't want to seat just 2 people despite confirming there were multiple available seats that were not reserved. We were told if we wanted to eat at a table then we needed to go to the beach dining which was actually much nicer. Staff at the beach area were a lot more welcoming. Food was ordered and 3 out of 4 items arrived but the last (a main) never arrived, the kitchen had forgot. The food that had arrived were fairly cold and greasy. They were 3 of the more popular menu items and so are presumably cooked in large quantities and kept ready for when the next order comes through. The missing item was re ordered from the kitchen and arrived much hotter than the other food and after everything else was gone. Not a word was said about the 30 minute time difference between food arriving and unfortunately despite being hot it wasn't great either. All in all a disappointing experience but the only one in...
Read moreThis place is a little gem in the now hustle and bustle of General Luna. I arrived at 6:30 PM on a Saturday night, most likely before most places get crazy busy from all of the tourists and surf bums who want to party.
Two pool tables, a relaxed atmosphere, some tunes, and the various games playing on-screen give this sandy sports bar a perfect setting for a chronic food eater like myself.
Some tourists want 5 litros of Red Horse, others a pitcher of hangover mixed with sweet, sweet death. I kept it simple. Jack Daniels Burger, side of potato wedges, and Engkanto beer from Cavite. There are plenty of menu options for everyone, and yes they even have pitchers of death if you so choose to pickle yourself.
The food was fantastic, servers amazing, and the calm before the weekenders' party storm left me full and relaxed, which is what I was looking for after a long day of...
