I recently visited Bulaloan, a local bulalo spot that's has decent reviews I saw in front of Kanin Baboy. However, I couldn't help but notice that the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards left much to be desired. The first thing I saw when I was paying at the counter was the fridge was not organized. Looked like the foods/ingredients were sitting there for ages which is not a great first impression.
When I took a closer look at the dining area, there was a bin at the entrance and I saw a cockroach crawling on the wall because there was a bin there (close to the big bulalo container) which is easy access for them. 🪳
If Bulaloan could improve their hygiene, this place would be so much more enjoyable. Cleanliness is just as important as the taste of the food, and a little more attention to detail could elevate the whole dining...

The Bulalohan fell short of expectations – the soup wasn't as beefy, too salty and peppery (others would prefer this). Waiting for the food took longer than expected - it is quite common for bulalohan to have the dish readymade. The meat was a bit tough.
