Kimstaurant Siargao — Restaurant in General Luna

We’ve been regulars here, coming at least once a month, but after today, we won’t be returning.

We came for the ₱599 promo but found it only covered pork and chicken. Since I can’t eat chicken and we prefer beef, we chose to pay full price. But we were told we couldn’t order more beef until the chicken was finished — even though I couldn’t eat it. I understand starting with a mixed platter, but refusing to serve more until the chicken was gone didn’t make sense.

This is a cook-your-own setup, and we always grill chicken separately to avoid cross-contamination and the risk of salmonella. Forcing us to use the same grill and tools was really concerning.

Worse, the staff initially said we could order all beef and pork after the first round — only to change the rules midway and insist on alternating meats. That felt misleading, and one staff member even made a rude side comment.

Samgyupsal is something we can easily do at home, but we kept coming back here because the experience used to be great. Sadly, this visit was just disappointing...

A perfect example of how NOT to do customer service. We have been regular customers since they opened. Bringing many friends and even recommending them on my popular website and blogs. Even tho the place is usually empty and was again today we went for the unli bbq only to be told there’s now a 3 person minimum. We explained we’re their best customer and regulars visiting once a week but even after talking to the owners they still refused us.. fine, we left, and you lost the ONLY customers that were in your restaurant. Obvs they know nothing about customer service but honestly the ambiance and everything else is pretty horrible too.. it’s only the decent unli bbq that kept us coming back but now they’ve ruined that too… expect this place to be closed...

The place misses a bit of a Korean flair as I am used to other korean restaurants. Very good service by the filipino waiter. Went for the K-BBQ for four, was not disappointed by the meat but only very few sides where included but overall we where happy and the prices are fine. Ramen...
